Weather Forecast

With a precipitation chance of 40%, there's a possibility of scattered showers throughout the tournament, making it essential to pack rain gear and umbrellas. Additionally, expect breezy conditions, with southerly winds blowing at 15 mph, gusting up to 28 mph at times.

Can Seamus Power to Victory?

There has been a recent improvement in the play of Ireland’s Seamus Power as he grinds his way out of a slump.

His latest effort at the Heritage Classic, when he finished 12th, was a huge eye-catcher after glimpses of promise in the weeks prior. Interestingly, the thirty-seven-year-old has always been a player who telegraphs when he is running into form.

That fact combined with his three previous efforts at TPC Craig Ranch where he has finished twice in the top 20 and once in the top 10, there becomes a solid argument to bet.

Add in the further context that in recent seasons Power has proved himself a winner at the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship and the 2021 Barbasol, and we know those victories have come when the fields are a little weaker like this week.

I'll recommend taking Seamus Power to win this week’s Byron Nelson at our best sportsbook price of (+5000) with Bovada.

Peter Kuest Loves the Big League

Twenty-five-year-old Peter Kuest is an interesting entrant in this week’s CJ Cup Byron Nelson on several levels.

Firstly, last year Kuest finished 14th here at TPC Craig Ranch when the Californian was struggling for starts on the PGA Tour, and he was a Monday Qualifying regular.

Despite following up with strong efforts at the Rocket Mortgage Classic with a career-best 4th and the John Deere Classic, Kuest once again found himself in the wilderness in 2024.

Understandably, that may have affected his early form of the year when Kuest found himself missing cuts on the Korn Ferry Tour.  Once again when faced with the mountain to climb of Monday Qualifying, Kuest, raised his game at the Texas Open down the road to finish an impressive 10th which immediately got him in the Corales Puntacana where he finished 9th for back-to-back top 10s back on the PGA Tour.

With those missed cuts at the start of the year now a distant memory for Kuest, he will know he is one big performance away from locking up those illusive playing privileges for 2025, so why not this week with last year’s course experience behind him.

I suggest adding Peter Kuest amongst your best bets for this week’s CJ Cup Byron Nelson while adding a meatier stake on him completing a hat trick of top 10 finishes.

Can Kyoung Hoon Lee Make It Three in Four Years?

Conventional wisdom would have you believe a golfer cannot win the same tournament three times in four years, let alone if that was the only tournament the player has ever won, well that is the case this week for Kyoung Hoon Lee.

The thirty-two-year-old South Korean arrives at TPC Craig Ranch in fine form after last week’s effort at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with partner Michael Kim coming on the back of several solid recent performances, the best of which was a top 10 finish at the Valspar Championship.

With that conclusive evidence combined with a change in putting surface to his preferred Bentgrass greens, the South Korean and his price of (+4000) at our best sportsbook Bovada, is a good one for BMR readers to add Kyoung Hoon Lee to their best bets.
