    • You are absolutely right, they do everything they want!! I think BMR should downgrade them to black list! If you don't think so, then read my story i posted some minutes ago!!

        Dear Mr Lels,

Thank you for your message regarding your account.
I appreciate you have requested a time frame for the completion of the review of your account, however at this time I can only reiterate that once the review is completed we will email you directly.
There is no time frame I can look to provide for this, and no further information we can advise at this time.
We appreciate your continued patience while the account is under review, you will be contacted directly when this is completed.
Our team are available 24 hours a day by Live Chat, via email support-eng@customerservices365.com or call +44 1782 684757 and we will be pleased to assist you.

        Kind regards,

They have no time frame to review my account. I'm already waiting 4 months and they have no further information for me, keeping my balance more then 6000 eur.
Do you really think Bet365 can be rating with 5 stars?? Yes, the've got good In-play markets, but everything is good when you are loosing money in distance. But when you are winner your account can be easy suspended with your own balance and winnings and they have no time frame for this verification. Isn't it the easiest way to keep your balance?? I think it is! And nobody have influence to Bet365. Should this company be in recommended bookies list?? I think it shouldn't!!
Because IBAS has the matter open as a case, Bet365 will not do anything more until they hear back from IBAS.

IBAS is the one you need to be asking right now.

They often take around a month, so I'd think they should be near a decision now too.

        • Even IBAS has no power settled this case. This is email from IBAS:

          Dear Mr Leis,

I am emailing with regard to your IBAS submission received on the 24th April 2019.

Bet365 have explained that your account will remain frozen while an investigation is taking place.

I am unable to divulge the nature of the investigation due to regulatory requirements, and can only inform you that they can take a very long time. It is possible that your account could be suspended for up to 2 years.

There is nothing that IBAS can do about this, we cannot force them to pay you whilst the investigation is ongoing. In the meantime, you are welcome to pursue alternative means of accessing the funds in your account, such as taking legal action against Bet365.

They have said they will contact you once the investigation is over, so there is little point in asking IBAS for updates, as you will find out more quickly than we will. You are much better off asking them directly.

I apologise for this bad news, but stress again that our hands are tied in this matter and there is nothing we can do to speed up the process.

          Kind regards,

          James Ironside

When suspicious betting patterns or match fixing is reported, the legislation says the bookmaker is not allowed to tell you anything more than an investigation is under way. They are not supposed to divulge anything that could either help a match fixer learn how to do it better, or smear a player or team involved in the match.

If IBAS are saying this will take a long time. That means that ESSA or a sporting body have accepted that the evidence available warrants an investigation.

In my experience, if these do not end up being settled within a month or so, then they drag on at least 12 months.

12-15 months is the time frame most seem to be resolved in. But a few I know of have gone for 2 years.

Not many do not get resolved in the end.

In most cases, everyone gets paid in the end.

              • There really is not anything you can do apart from taking civil legal action as IBAS say.

The best thing you can do is simply to email Bet365 monthly and ask if the investigation is complete yet. To make sure you are not forgotten.

This is a terrible system to address these matters. But it is put in place by the UK Gambling Commission. There is no good reason for Bet365 to want this to happen to players. It's against their interests too.

Thank you very much! But i still have a lot of questions to ask! I placed bets to a team that was at first place, do they really think it was some kind of the fixed games?? Can they be in the top of the table if they are match fixers? Isn't it the easiest way to keep my money? If they are not sure about the winning, then why they don't return my own deposit of 2100 eur? And where i can see the updates about this case, maybe it wasn't even opened?

They are not allowed to just cancel the bet until authorized, usually by ESSA.

I don't mean to sound like I am defending the system, but it really works in this way and it's unlikely Bet365 even have a problem with your personal bets in particular.

As far as the top team being involved, you can approach ESSA (eu-ssa.org) and try asking them if there is really an investigation of betting on the match going on. They may not officially confirm it if one is happening, but they will normally tell you if there definitely is not an investigation or report on that match,

From all you say, I honestly think you are stuck waiting for now. This does happen to a LOT of people. We have seen the process play out many many times. If you are not part of a match fixing ring, you can be almost 100% sure you will see that money again at least.

Now i finally understand what is going on! Bet365 should also realise what they are keeping my money and they could explain me everything long time ago.
                      Thanks once again!

                      • I'm sure they wish they were allowed to say more too.

It must be thankless having to answer so many people and say 'nothing' all the time.

I do think bookmakers should be forced to hand over all funds involved to an independent body when this happens though. So it disadvantages the bookmaker as much as the players. I think we would see a lot less long investigations if that was the case.
