What are the most important factors for winning longterm at sports betting from most important to least:

- Picking winners
- Money management
- Being selective
- Getting best number/Beating closing line

If you want to add a factor not listed feel free.

How do you define chasing? Doubling your next bet?
Just going on tilt.

sometimes in my youth I’d lose $100 on a bad beat and it would piss me off so bad I’d chase getting that $100 loss back and next thing you know it would cost me $1000 or more.

we all have some moments like this from time to time. But learning to not go on tilt will save you tens of thousands over time

If I bet a 55% play at noon for $100 and lose. Then at 4pm I bet a 55% play for $200.

Is that chasing?
Yes, pick an amount you wanna bet & stick with it. I’m sure for you it’s going to be way more than $200. I remember you telling me you want come in with a 100K bankroll. I would bet 2.5% if I had your money = 2,500 per game.

I’m just using those easy numbers as an example. I’d like to deposit as much as Pinnacle will let me for my BR. Once I start to bet I also plan to use 2.5% of my BR and will ALWAYS bet the same amount. This makes it easy to determine if I’m chasing but what about people who consistently vary their bet amounts 🤷🏻‍♂️
