With this one its tough to pick a side.

The people who were butt-hurt over the shirts need to get over themselves. Just because they "interpreted" the shirts in a political manner doesn't mean that's what the dance team was intending. It's too bad the organizers let a few whiners make the call.

On the other hand, the organizers can allow or disallow anyone they want to perform. It is a private event so they make the call.

Its unfortunate this stuff happens.

First - it’s Seattle - whenever the story originates in Seattle or San Francisco - it’s a given someone will be triggered.

Secondly - it’s “triggering” to some because they feel the display of the flag is counter to the organization’s missions - and felt it was a “right wing display” - funny actually as I know many who would say wearing flag clothing is desecration of the flag and completely inappropriate as it shows a lack of respect for the government (basically the opposite of what those triggered felt).

Anyone remember 30 or so years ago when the Black Crowes released Amorica and the shit storm that album cover started ? It’s amazing - we now have the left attacking people for wearing the flag too.

We need to start doing that here - prison release for serving in Peace Corp or something - instead of a few billion in aid and weapons - how bout we ship prisoners to wherever they are needed in a new public works program - do 18 months and your free. Illegal immigration problem solved - plenty of freed up prison cells releasing prisoners to this program - and let those who crossed illegally participate too. Who better to assist others and rebuild their country ?
