Things went sour there kind of quickly. Wainwright was pitching so well there that the manager didn't have anyone up in the bullpen so I think he was hoping to get that 3rd out in the inning and then have him pulled.

many of these umps are all the sons of former good umps. they dont have any clue what they are doing. id say he deserved 2 k's this outing. and when you think about it they know he has "an extra balls length on each side of the strikezone" so says the announcer tonight. so the hitters are off balance and he still gets blasted almost every outing. manager isnt doing him any favors

They were hitting him early on. It's just that most hits went as outs. Early in his last inning the first batter hit one to the warning track. I was hoping this would be the beginning of the end for him and it was.
