Sad he would have 0 chance of managing in today’s game.

Bullpens by committee - speed and average over power hitting and the biggest crime of all - not cowering to the superstars on his team.

Now it’s the norm for great hitters to whiff 150+ times a year, bullpens have a structure, ballparks are smaller and teams spend 35 million on a player and 3 million on a manager - so if there’s a disagreement you know who owners will support.
