Why ?!?

What does any one specific gambler have to offer that's worth "idolizing" ?

You have said it yourself - gamblers are not in general handsome, well respected in the general community or overall "great people".

Plenty of gamblers out there I like and respect - because they ARE decent people - but I'd stop short of idolizing. Idolizing means you look up to that person as if they are somehow "super human" - better than anyone else out there in society. That doesn't sound like a gambler I've met yet.

Idolize people who are saving and serving humanity - not those who can make money long term gambling large amounts.

when I was younger I wanted to be Jimmy Feist, Billy Walters and or Len Banker

now that I am older just wish I had hair like Wayne Newton
Never. No one.
Well, maybe Brad Pitt. He gets all the hot chicks. But, he's not a gambler.

Here are a few and he was hitting them in their prime.
- Geyneth Paltrow
- Chistina Applegate
- Emily Ratajkowski
- Demi Moore
- Jenniger Aniston
- Geena Davis
- Angelina Jolie

JJ, I live my bets through Doug, I could never do what he does, do I idolize him? No, I Idolize Christ and live my life from the daily teachings of Mathew and Isiah, idolizing a poster is like an adult wearing a jersey of another man. I respect him as a man, a poster and a forum poster. I am not sure if he is a man of Christ or not.

Idolatry in ALL forms is wrong. Jesus and his example should be your ultimate model and focus

The word “idolize” is a more comfortable way to say “worship.” When a person is idolized, they become God-like in the eyes of their worshippers. While worshiping something is not necessarily problematic in itself if practiced in a healthy way, it can easily become obsessive and emotionally damaging
