to be honest and it's probably an age thing and social media thing......

I can't focus on books. I can read 10 pages and have no idea what's going on. I'm reading the words but focusing my mind on something else and then i forget everything I just read

Should read an hour a day it is how knowledge is born. Anytime someone asks you a question that they think you are knowledgeable in after giving them your answer always tell them smarter people on the subject are almost always available for free at the public library.

Want to read a good book and learn some new words?

Try The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Not a long read (~150 pages). It's roughly the story that Apocalypse Now was based on minus the war. Its about a guy in the 1800s assigned by his trading company to go and seek out a the manager of a trading post who has become a "psycho" god to the locals that he trades with and leads. Takes place deep in the African jungle.

The author, J. Conrad had an incredible vocabulary. Every now and then I have to stop to look up some of the words he's using. Have a dictionary or thesaurus close by.
