I have Kindle Unlimited so I get to download a ton of books for free from Amazon. Have you read any good either gambling or just good books in general you can recommend? I love a good mystery or anything travel related

There is this guy named Minnesotafats that I read on sports forums that is must read. Might be the smartest poster on these forums. There was a poster many years ago named Rogue Scholar that was an amazing writer. His posts made everyone else's look like an uneducated idiot.

Aside from strategy books, The Biggest Game in Town by Al Alvarez is a fun read about the high stakes poker scene in the early 80s. The Odds by Chad Millman is an interesting character study of 3 guys trying to make it in high stakes sports betting. Bringing Down the House by Ben Mezrich is a quick page turner, but not as engrossing as the Alvarez book. I thought Lay the Favorite sucked; I'd avoid that one.

i have not read any gambling books, but here's a list i found of the top 20 gambling books apparently

I looked at the list and was reminded about The Professor, The Banker, and The Suicide King. It's about the ultra high stakes poker games between financier Andy Beal and a "corporation" of pro poker players. Great book... Ted Forrest comes off like a degen legend in that one.

A few of the strategy books on the list are imo worth reading if you're into that sort of thing. I can vouch for the Theory of Poker and The Logic of Sports Betting.
