Drugs not financial.

They also say it's rare for sa high profile case too.

A lot of corruption crackdown going on and she's going down as an example.

But she didn't do it alone.

They say something like 27,000 individual vicitms identified. $27 billion in losses which is like 3% of their GDP.

Fawk.
I was walking outside my apartment and saw a huge line outside of SCB bank and I didn't know what was happening until I saw the news. I remember the day when this first started. The president just resigned the 2nd one in a year. It is very very corrupt there. God Bless you KVBster, I need some statistics though, I need to see your degree put to work here. Give me something

Vietnamese law prohibits any individual from holding more than 5% of the shares in any back.

They say using shell companies and her cronies as managers and proxies she controlled or owned more than 90% of Saigon Commercial.

She had her people approve loans to the network of shell companies and they say 93% of all of the bank's lending was her action.

Over a 3 year period they say she had her driver withdraw 108 TRILLION dong in cash from the back and store it in her basement. That's like $4 billion. That must fill the room and way a couple of tons.

On chief inspector at the central bank got life in prison for his role of taking about $5million in bribes to look the other way and never scrutinize her loans.

Vietnamese growth is tremendous, but it much of it may rely on corruption.

If you root out all the corruption, you might very well put a dent in the the growth.

But what she did was huuuuuuuge.
Shell companies are all over the promise land KVBster, you probably know someone who is a part of a shell company there.

They put people to death all the time for drugs
These happen all the time, and the Vietnamese airline girls get away, it is unreal
The Chinese don't fool around either. I used to work for a vitamin supplement company in Southern California. They posted a story about a Chinese nutritional company whose negligence lead to the death of some of the people who ingested their product. Some of the people who were responsible were put to death.

Then there's Singapore with their death penalty for drug traffickers.

I found the story:

China sentenced the former head of its food and drugs agency to death for corruption on Tuesday in a surprise judgment as the government sought to contain a wave of scandals over health safety.

Under Zheng's watch, dozens died in China from fake or bad drugs and food products. In one of the most notorious cases, in 2004, at least 13 babies died of malnutrition in Anhui province after being fed fake milk powder with no nutritional value.
