Took the train from Hanoi stopping at every major city going South towards Ho Chi Minh. Food was delicious and everything was cheap. Good times, but still prefer Thailand. No stupid visa and approval letter.

Famous Banh Mi sandwich...perhaps there's a better place but this was where all the tourist people went to...

The visa situation is a very good thing in my opinion. There are many reasons for it. One of them is we have a completely different type of “foreigner” here than in Thailand. Thailand is like Cambodia but even Cambodia needs a visa. The type of caliber of foreigner here is much better than Thailand. I would never ever live in Thailand but to travel is ok. I’m not into the culture at all there. Vietnam is getting more strict and they changed the visa law recently. It’s great so much foreign trash that was living here had to leave. By the tens of thousands have left.
