When you’re good looking people always wanna be around you, pussy everywhere it’s a matter of time it gets you in trouble with a woman and many ways

I’ll stick to being i5-4 and 291 pounds and bald with crooked teeth

Ok I'm pretty ignorant to that market Flyer never been able to have the proper bankroll to flex, still feel that way. It's ok I'm a humble dude don't need to floss on these streets and be a come up for one of these thieving bastids in South Florida.

I will school you one day JDS, today is not the day, busy with stuff. To simplify it for you, there are different types of people in this world when it comes to watches. You have guys that are into Rolexes like Walker but anyone can own a Rolex, sure, there are different models , different editions, the prices are all over the map....let me try to simplify it... you got guys driving a BMW or Mercedes then you got guys driving Porsche, Ferrari , higher end.... Rolex is a good "entry" level for luxury , depends the model....If you get into them, save your $ get an AP, Patek, or Vacheron, if you insist on a Rolex which I hope you don't do not get a cheap one, hard to sell it..

Is it just basically a status symbol Illini? I mean isn't a watch just a watch to tell time at the end of the day?

Good analogy comparing watches to luxury nameplates on cars - and agree.

The other thing I noticed - many are just like car owners in "bragging" about what they have. You got some 3 series owner, entry level C class or base Acura/Lexus and they act as if you need to be "special" to own one of these things. No - you just need to have $5k down and $899 a month for the lease payment - and the desire to act as if you are somehow driving anything aside from a dressed up sedan.

Personally - I'll stick to my middle of the road Citizen watch and my Toyota - no need to "impress" someone with my spending. You can get a pretty decent watch between $300-800 and pretty reliable vehicles for half the starting point on a new entry level luxury. Too many people worry about showing off what they spend vs showing off they practice common sense and realize there's a balance between cost/value and reliability.

As mentioned also - worst thing you can do is "need" to sell anything entry level luxury in a pinch - resale is TOUGH. I laughed years ago when cruise ships started selling used Rolex's to their "luxury" clients (just like the fake art sales - they load up boat with clients who are dumb enough to pay $$ for overpriced crap - offering discounted fares/free rooms - then push you into "seminars" on how to "invest" in this crap - selling rebuilt Rolex's for the price of new ones.

Dealt with this stuff at a previous job assisting underwriting in valuing collections. The people who really own something that's "special" Don't tend to flash it around much (and for good reason) its the schmuck who overpays who makes it known what he has - many to the point of annoyance. Car guys much the same - had a guy who trashed a McLaren LT675 on me - went out to meet him - absolutely could have cared less - to him it was just an expensive toy. Yet deal with some young tech industry type and an A3 - they acted like it was the biggest loss ever.
