I’d argue #1 Worst failing to check out the forums BEFORE depositing.

How many people come onto a forum vs how many people gambling?

Plenty of valuable insight to be gained by visiting the forums first - then depositing. Nothing like finding out critical info after you sent money that would have changed your decision.

1A for worst is greed - chasing losses and putting all your bankroll on a single book/bonus. Way too many people fail to maintain solid outs or chase a huge promo only to get burned.

Take advantage of every promo - but be smart about it - and don’t be afraid to ask for a bonus and VIP perks where available. Host are there to serve the player.

Finally - agree many don’t quite understand how to effectively use free play / bonus bets. Winning is maximizing your profits - not showing a W in the win column. Lots of wasted opportunities.

yeah agree never pay for picks in sports gambling from prof touts. I am using a free source for my college bball picks but have never paid a tout for a pick. Never have never will.

The exception to that is the horses. I did pay for prof info in my early days of playing that specific game. and today if I don't feel like capping on major race days may buy a product like Bruno with the works forecast.

This is paradoxical.

In fact, The only one of those five that wouldn't apply to a successful gambler starting out, and only the the one starting out, is #2, the one about parlays.

The rest are for rookies, but successful and motivatied rookies, before theyrecognize and eventually learn that picking the right answer and winning isn't the hard part, it's getting down on those smaller markets mentioned and being able to get any promotions anymore.

As it so happens, the one about parlays can sometimes be used to navaigate around the restrictions that prevent a succssful bettor from being a part of the other 3 BEST options.

But option number 5 is sticky one, both true and paradoxical, depending on your level of gamesmanship.

Yeah, it's a matter of how much edge you are dealing with and how much information you need to make the decision. As you get closer to game time, you can definitely acquire more information, but it comes at a loss of value in the market.

It's a tradeoff I've posted about 100s of times in the past, in FlyMe.

I see two different but related groups of bettors in these 5.

Group #1 works #s 1, 3, and 4 until they can't any longer

Then eventually, as they try to squeeze blood from the turnip, they are forced into #5 becoming a part of the more advanced group #2.

Eventually, when that juice is hardly worth the squeeze they revert to lower risk, higher payout, parlays like #2, if they haven't already been doing it, but this time instead of just lower risk and higher reward their motivation is to circumvent limits.

As someone who has been on and studies nearly all levels of that totem pole, or branches of that tree, I can look down at the lower branches and confidentally make this assessment above. Many know I make many forecasts and they represent the thinking of nearly all levels of bettors. I have been there.

Think about it.
