I’m getting nervous on my picks. Portugal looks strong winning 4-0 w/o CR7 in the friendly game.

My underdog pick Senegal in Group A is w/o their best player Sandio Mane. The Bayern Munich player had surgery and is out. Poland looks set to advance.

More drama in Group A, allegation of Ecuador players being bribed to lose the first match of World Cup on Sunday against the host Qatar. The alleged fix would have Qatar scoring a goal in 2H to win 1-0.

Stupid but funny thing is one of my favorite fade source claimed to know about the fix and picked u2.5 (-175). Even with the fix, the FADE is strong and take u2 (-105).

how come i am not surprised anymore? if they can bribe to host the venue then why not the game? it's just like consummating the action they have already started.

Qatar v. Ecuador / Draw +210

Oh yes, we finally (almost) kicking off the start of the World Cup. With all the backstory on this game, any bettor in his/her right mind would not touch this game. But hey, I'm a degen and it's the freakin' World Cup where I can get drunk before noon. Even my best fade sources are on the opposite side of the over/under so I can't touch it. I'm thinking, however, that Ecuador wants to score as quickly as possible but it might not happen in the first half. If they score in the 1st half, then I see Qatar's corruption getting a penalty kick in 2nd half to level it. Or if Ecuador doesn't score in the 1st half, then the pressure will be so huge on Ecuador in not letting Qatar to score that they won't concentrate on scoring but solely on preventing Qatar to score that "fixed" goal. I'm actually wanting to see a scoreless 1st half, just to that feel that tension.
