The Blue Jays are hosting Tampa today.

The Rays just got two consecutive beatdowns from the Yankees.

And Toronto and Tampa are virtually tied battling for a wlld card.

TB has some balls starting a minor league pitcher for his first MLB start this season when they are in the playoff hunt. Criswell has one prio MLB start in his career (2021 w/ LAA 1.1 IP, gave up 3 ER).

Toronto ML at -145 seems about right (maybe a little low) w/ Berrios on the mound. I'm leaning Toronto at home in this one.

But, I do hate making plays on games with "rookie" type pitchers on either side. You may get a bust or you may see a Kerry Wood 20 strikeout game.

I believe Toronto has the better pitcher going. I think the line is set right where it should be. If anything I'd play Toronto ML

This adds to reasons to take Toronto. Why are they starting these pitchers right now?
