I’ve studied the past performances. I always like a horse that is improving with each start. Catching freedom is that horse. Fierceness may win but could bounce off that 13 length win. Track phantom could surprise at a price! Can’t leave him out.

I went with 2, 4, 11, 12 exacta box for $2 and 50 cent tri

Other than that - just played the $10 “no lose” promos on all 12 of my TVG/TwinSprires/xpressBet accounts - most I just stick with favorites on - a few I got adventurous on and it’s done ok for me today. Goal as always is no worse than break even - I think I’m there and still have derby and a I think 1 other on TVG and 3 on Xpressbet to go.

Worst case - I get the rebate and have to bet $10 show on some bridge jumper this week to collect back $10.50 and cash.

Love horse racing but absolutely suck at if not for these promos. Having signed up for an account under every family member I could helps - and if I win decent - they know I share the wealth. Never will be an IRS reportable in there - but turn $10 into $60 a couple dozen times it’s cheap thrills that keep you in the game.

Oh yea - past performance means jack to me when talking lightly raced 3 year olds running in front of 150k screaming fans. These are HORSES - they have no memory and react to the crowd oddly at times.

Sure you can analyze how they have done before against each other - but it’s still facing a field at least 2x larger than they have before - all decent horses. A lot of bumping and banging at times - very few pull ahead and stay there the length of the race.
