During MLB season with early games almost each day, I follow a little more structured routine to get it done before games start.

  • Spend ~ 20-30 minutes updating spreadsheeets with MLB data.
  • Review my personalized version of what you might call a "Gold Sheet" that has data for each game (see below).
  • Generate list of plays for the day
  • Review picks from a few pro-cappers that I follow to see what they've done (avoid opposite plays or understand why).
  • Create my card by reviewing best odds avail at 4-5 books I'm funded at.
  • FOLLOW JJGOLD POSTS ON BMR FOR INSIGHT AND KNOWLEDGE ON GAMES AND THE INDUSTRY.

Here's a small section of my "personalized "Gold Sheet".

A lot of Live betting so no

Dude, you can’t be serious here.

You have to have a plan, with all betting, but especially LIVE so that when the bullets start flying, you aren’t confused by the fog of war.

Surely you enter the LIVE markets with some kind of plan, with some goal, objective, or idea of what you are looking for to pull the trigger. Surely you do.

I use macros extensively to automate the data collection and analysis. I could learn python to make the data collection easier but its only 10 min of work on a few websites so, meh...

As far as automating the picks process, I hesitate to build something that will do that. I like to be "close" to the data to make sure I see the trends and don't overlook an obvious play (or no play).
