We've all had it happen

Bet the right side of a total, and the under loses only because the game goes to overtime

But this past week it's happened more than I recall combined in the past

Lost 3 unders which would have easily won, but OT pushed them over

Had 1 other under go to overtime, but fortunately it still won because there were still plenty of points to spare

And yesterday, I lost 4 Live wagers on the under in one game, which would have won, but again OT pushed it just over

Killer swing for your bankroll

It's like your team going in for a TD and up 14-7, but throwing an int or fumble returned for TD by opposing team who instead goes up 14-7

In football when a team plays for the FG to tie instead of the TD to win and it goes in to OT and goes over.

Makes you so mad when they clearly should have went for the TD.

Yes there's something about this that feels so wrong. Just last night Bro/Por NBA, at no point in the game was live betting offering a higher number than closing line for the total, but with 5 seconds left, game tied it was 50/50 to go over. To be expected to win for 99% of clock time, and losing is a killer. I have went from playing 70/30 Unders/Overs to 20/80 this basketball season, and my stress and frustration is gone for totals.

The real question and what should be offered is would you pay -130 to not include overtime, or take 2-3 points less? surprised this isn't offered.

Also with popularity in gambling, the players are more motivated for points than ever. Id be very careful taking unders.
NBA season to date
O/U:622-580-14 (0.79, 51.7%)

NCAA
O/U:2762-2634-0 (1.03, 51.2%)

Prob lost as many if not more underDOG bets than Unders. I have gotten lucky a few times when I had an over and got OT. I've lost a lot of Unders in MLB in extras since the rule change. That one has buried me many a time.

I've lost a few more unders mostly because I'm probably an under player in total bets 60-40 vs overs.

I am for the rule change of making the "number" (total) by default to be just regulation. As in halftime wagering, if people want to bet again and handicap how much scoring will be in extra time or OT, more power to them. We have live wagering in any case.
