The Gambling act 2014 has changed the way that foreign companies can operate remote gambling in Great Britain. I may have misunderstood the scope of the act but this is what was quoted in a website explaining what the changes would mean:
"Foreign-based operators would, under the plans, require a licence from the Gambling Commission to take bets and wagers from, or to market their gambling to, British consumers. – even if those operators have no equipment in Great Britain".

By the way, I have now received payment in full and the cheque has been cleared. This might have something to do with the fact that I was 'only' owed £300 pounds and they thought it wasn't worth the bother.
I've closed my account straight away - they are basically a bunch of crooks.

I sent them a final warning letter with a deadline of next Monday saying that if my money is not returned to me that I would be doing a media campaign exploting their illegal practices and warning people to stay away from them.
Surprise surprise I get a reply, they said they are still investigating my account.
I therefore replied to them and stated that I have got the original terms and conditions of when I opened my account and noticed that they have changed their T&C without letting people know. And reiterated my previous email and how serious I am.
I am thinking of opening a private FB page to work together to exposing these people. If anyone is interested let me know and I will get things sorted.

I am in the same boat as many of you (account closed with a sizeable balance and unable to communicate with them) and have begun exploring my legal options. Has anybody attempted to make a civil or criminal claim against these people yet? I would be interested to hear of other people's experiences and whether any of them have been successful.Comment

£3k owed to me for over year. I initially requested a £1k withdrawal which was taken my account but never arrived in my bank. This is theft. I threatened and sent a letter to no avail. I looked at the Irish legal system and tried the Small Claims Court which covers claims up to EUR2k.

RE: RF-V-SPORTS SPREAD BETTING (IRELAND) LIMITED
Dear RF
Thank you for your Small Claims Application. Unfortunately this application as framed does not fall under the Small Claims Procedure Rules and cannot be accepted. Please see comments below from the Small Claims Registrar, Your claim is being rejected as the nature of your claim is not covered under the small claims procedure. This is a matter for the district civil Courts as it is a claim for a refund of money owed to you. You would need to issue a Civil summons for either a liquidated debt or a summons for breach of contract/compensation. They can be contacted on 8886747/6448/6198. You may need to seek legal advice on this matter.
________
My account has now been closed by SS so they are hoping to thieve the full £3k from me.Comment
