West Virginia was amongst the earliest adopters of online sports betting and it now has one more mobile sports betting provider added to its list of licensed operators – BetRivers.

BetRivers in West Virginia

Rush Street Interactive (RSI) is a major player in the world of online gambling and we have seen its sportsbook, BetRivers, taking action in New York, Arizona, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Colorado, Michigan, Virginia, West Virginia, Connecticut, Ontario and now West Virginia.

RSI had an online casino operating in the Mountaineer State since April of 2021 but recently added its online sportsbook, BetRivers, to the mix. Richard Schwartz, Rush Street Interactive CEO, said in a statement: “We expect our BetRivers sportsbook app to be well received as many West Virginians are now familiar with the BetRivers brand and have come to appreciate and trust our high-quality products and responsive customer service.”

Although not a dominant player like FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars, BetRivers has been well received in the markets it has focused on and its West Virginia presence is linked to partnerships with Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort, and Century Casinos.

Rush Street Interactive App Benefits

All of the online betting apps that we have seen from the leaders of the gaming industry offer streamlined betting experiences with a vast betting menu. There are generous signup bonuses and loyalty rewards that come in the form of odds boosts as well as VIP experiences and rewards points that can be used to purchase merchandise and other goods.

But the folks over at RSI would like to think their technological platform provides their customers with a more complete and comprehensive gaming experience. And it is because of this that they believe bettors will want to try BetRivers even if they have already signed up with another sportsbook.

“We are pleased that our integrated app will provide one convenient location for players in West Virginia to switch effortlessly between the casino and sportsbook using phones, tablets, and computers to experience all that we have to offer, from spreads, moneylines, parlays, single-game parlays, and player props to slots, tables games, and live dealer experiences,” said Schwartz.

The BetRivers App

The RSI online casino app has been integrated with the BetRivers sports betting app which allows for one-stop digital gambling. “We are excited to expand our presence in West Virginia and offer residents more ways to win with the launch of our popular BetRivers sportsbook. Our experience in other markets has validated that online sportsbook players also enjoy the full services of our online casinos, especially the table games.”

“Along with offering a more enjoyable experience through our platform, at RSI we are constantly striving to provide a more trusted betting experience by emphasizing usability, responsibility, and transparency,” noted Schwartz.

But as a late arrival to a party that began nearly four years ago, BetRivers will have its work cut out to gain market share, as the competition is fierce with DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, PointsBet, and Betly all battling for West Virginian’s sports betting buck.
