The NFL season has already taken some dramatic turns, and the Super Bowl odds reflect just how quickly things can change. The Baltimore Ravens have been hit hard by injuries and appear to be slipping out of the race, while the Seattle Seahawks have exceeded expectations and emerged as legitimate contenders.
With plenty of action still ahead, we’ve got enough evidence to start making educated bets on who might lift the Lombardi Trophy. Let’s break it all down and zero in on a winning Super Bowl pick.

Super Bowl Contenders, Sleepers to Watch
Much to the dismay of many NFL fans, the Kansas City Chiefs look to be the strongest team in the AFC once again. Following the Buffalo Bills’ two straight losses, the Chiefs appear to be heading to the top of the Super Bowl odds once again. With the Baltimore Ravens beset by injuries, the Bills had the best chance to unseat the Chiefs. Now the Bills are struggling as well while the Chiefs are finding their form.
A surprise team to look out for is the Seattle Seahawks. With the addition of quarterback Sam Darnold, the Seahawks were expected to be good, but not true contenders. However, the top teams in the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams, have both been struck by injuries and are struggling this year to stay on top. The Seahawks continue to improve every week. We can still get an excellent price on Seattle right now.
Other teams to consider are the Detroit Lions, the Indianapolis Colts, the Denver Broncos, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Kansas City Chiefs (+939) at Bookmaker
I was able to find an outlier price on my favorite team to win the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs. While sportsbooks such as BetOnline and Bovada have the Chiefs at +650 and +700, respectively, the Chiefs are a tantalizing +939 at Bookmaker.
While other top teams in the AFC have shown their flaws, the Chiefs continue to improve and remind everyone why they have been a mainstay in the Super Bowl over the past six seasons. The Baltimore Ravens are so banged up that it might be too late for them to make a push for the playoffs. The Buffalo Bills have dropped two games in a row and have shown how weak their run defense can be without linebacker Matt Milano on the lineup, who is also suffering from injury. The Cincinnati Bengals are out of contention after Joe Burrow went down with an injury. Yet the Chiefs remain healthy and continue to improve week after week.
The Chiefs have the best quarterback in the game and one of the best coaches in the NFL. This combination has allowed them to rule the AFC for the past six seasons. The Chiefs will continue to rule. I know people are sick of them, but we can make a profit off the Chiefs’ bittersweet inevitability.
Seattle Seahawks (+4821) at Bookmaker
Once again, Bookmaker is giving us an outlier place of +4821. In contrast, Bovada is only offering +2700 and BetOnline is only offering +3300. This shows you how using the BMR’s odds page can almost double your payout. Before placing these bets always check the Bookmakers Review odds page so you’re getting the very best price on your play.
With the San Francisco 49ers being beset by injuries, and the Los Angeles Rams being a top heavy team that can be vulnerable to injury as well, the young sharp Seattle Seahawks look poised to take command of the NFC West. In his second year as head coach, defensive wizard Mike Macdonald has turned the Seahawks into the top defense in the league. The upgrade to Sam Darnold from Geno Smith has made Seattle one of the top offenses in the league. The Seahawks continue to get better under excellent coaching, leadership, and smart front office work.
Get a great price on the Seahawks now before the rest of the league catches on. This price won’t last long. The Seahawks are for real. but we can take advantage of the fact that people don’t seem to realize it yet.
Detroit Lions (+850) at BetOnline
We found the two best prices for our first plays at Bookmaker, but in this case, the best price is at BetOnline. This once again illustrates how important it is to use the odds page in order to shop around and get the very best price for your bets. This does require you to have multiple sportsbook accounts, but every good sports bettor knows that the more outs you have, the more chances you have to profit. The Super Bowl market is completely emblematic of that as we can see in today’s variations of prices on the teams we are targeting.
The Detroit Lions are going to be tough to beat if they get home field advantage in the playoffs. The Detroit Lions dominate at home, and with other NFC teams showing weakness, the Lions are poised to take control of the conference. After a slow start in Week 1, the Lions are back to last season’s form and look to be the best team in the NFC.
In making this bet, it’s almost a bet that the Lions will finish with the best record in the NFC. If the Lions can secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs they have an excellent chance to make the Super Bowl. Then, you’ll be holding a lucrative ticket that will be much better than trying to bet on the Lions later in the season. We are getting a better price right now because of the Lions’ most recent loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Detroit Lions have been so close to making the Super Bowl the past 2 years, but this will be the year that they break through. The weaknesses of the other teams have become too obvious, and the Lions continue to improve. Add the Detroit Lions to your Super Bowl odds portfolio.
Place These Bets Now
During the NFL season, many things can change. In Week 9, the Kansas City Chiefs will travel to take on the Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs will make a statement in that game and after that, the price that we gave out today will be nowhere to be found. Another key game in Week 9 will be when the Seattle Seahawks take on last year’s NFC championship game participant the Washington Commanders. This is another game in which I expect the road team to make a statement and prove that they are for real. After the Seahawks win that game in prime time, there is no way you’ll be able to find such a lucrative payout anymore.
Then in Week 10, the Detroit Lions will face the team that eliminated them in the playoffs last season, the Washington Commanders. The Lions will make a statement and get revenge from last year’s playoffs. At that point, the price for the Lions will plummet. Log in and make these bets now!
