Chicago Blackhawks Moneyline (+120) at Bovada
The Chicago Blackhawks have definitely slipped out of form in recent weeks with a 3-7 record in their last 10 games. That being said, we do believe they can put up a strong fight at +115 odds when playing on home ice against the Rangers.
Yes, the Rangers are one of the best road teams in the NHL, with the 18th-best NHL record overall, and they have the best road record, sitting at 12-5. That said, we like the fact that the Rangers faced back-to-back tough teams in Colorado and Las Vegas, both games on the road and both games overtime losses.
Chicago appears to offer great value at +120, although we wouldn’t recommend laying any less than +110 on their moneyline. Chicago has a solid 6-8 home record this season, and we can see them putting up a fight here.
Utah Mammoth Moneyline (-110) at Bovada
The 16th and 23rd-ranked teams in the NHL this season face off in Utah, with the 23rd-ranked Utah Mammoth playing host to the Florida Panthers. The Panthers have struggled this season with a 50% winning percentage. The back-to-back Stanley Cup champions finally look like they might be feeling the effects of two championships in a row, but that said, it’s early days in the season and plenty of time to turn things around.
For this NHL matchup, we are siding with the home team at -110, although the sportsbooks have both teams set to -110, so it’s a 50/50 choice from the sportsbook’s point of view. We like the Mammoth here because of their 7-5 home record, with the Panthers going 4-6 on the road this season.
We also expect a reaction from the Mammoth, having played 6 road games in a row (and winning only two), they played at home last time out, which ended in a 4-2 loss as home favorites.
Red Wings vs. Flames Over 6 (-125) at Heritage Sports
