Best NHL Player Prop Bets Today

Dylan Larkin Over 1.5 Points (+135) at Bovada

Dylan Larkin has had the 3rd most points so far this season, having scored at least one point in all starts this season. Larkin comes into this game with 2/2/4 assists in his previous three outings.

The Detroit center has had 34 points in 34 career games against the Buffalo Sabres, and we like his plus-money odds to score 2+ points tonight at +135 odds. The Sabres have allowed 3 goals per game this season, and Larkin is red hot right now.

Matt Boldy Over 3.5 Shots (+100) at Bovada

Minnesota’s Matt Boldy has been averaging 3.9 shots per game this season, which is the joint 8th-most in the NHL this season. We are liking the +100 odds for Boldy to register 4 or more shots in tonight’s matchup against the NJ Devils.

Interestingly, Boldy has only seen 4 or more shots against defensively solid teams, and the Devils are themselves defensively sound, so we are hoping this trend can carry over to tonight’s game. Betable down to -110.

Nick Suzuki Over 0.5 Assists (+125) at BetOnline

Nick Suzuki has been one of the main playmakers in the NHL this season, registering the 3rd most assists (a total of 9, an average of 1.2 assists per game). Tonight, Suzuki’s Montreal faces the 2nd-worst team in the NHL, the Calgary Flames, so he should get plenty of opportunities to increase his assist count tonight.

Suzuki has seen at least one assist in 5 of his 7 appearances this season and comes into tonight’s matchup having registered 2 assists in his previous game. At +125, this is a nice set of odds, and we would happily bet this down to +100 considering the matchup.

Anytime Goal Scorer Props Today

Cole Caufield Over 0.5 Goals (+130) at Bovada

Sticking with the Montreal Canadiens, we are eyeing up their top goalscorer, Cole Caufield, to score his 6th goal of the season at +130.

Caufield is the joint 3rd highest scorer in the NHL right now and is coming into this game off the back of two goal-less games, so let’s get behind him to get back on the scoreboard tonight against the Calgary Flames, who are allowing 3.9 goals per game (the 3rd worst in the NHL).

Goalie Save Props Today

Cam Talbot Under 27.5 Saves (-110) at Bovada

The Detroit Red Wings have had an unexpectedly good start to this season, going 5-1, making them the 3rd best team in the NHL right now. Detroit goaltender Cam Talbot has also started strong, going 3-0 and allowing only 1.78 goals per game.

Our pick for Talbot tonight is to go under 27.5 saves at -110, our only juiced bet at the time of writing. Detroit has had the 8th least amount of shots against this season, with 25.1, and Talbot has only averaged 22 saves per game this season. Take Detroit’s goaltender to see the under 27.5 save line.

Tips For NHL Player Prop Betting

NHL player prop betting can be profitable. We often don’t have to rely on a ton of stats compared to the likes of baseball, and the stats and trends generally don’t lie. It’s all about finding the correct value with NHL prop bets for long-term profit.

Check out our top NHL betting tips:

  • To improve your NHL betting, we advise checking each team’s starting lineups, as players on the first and second line tend to see the most gameplay.
  • When looking at goal scorer bets, it’s best to monitor how many shots they get per game and what conversion rate they have. Including how many shots their opponents allow per game.
  • Focus on each team’s power plays, as this is where a lot of goals tend to be scored each week.
  • Focus on the team matchups and always compare odds across multiple sportsbooks to get the best long-term value bets.
