Red list

In some respects the Red List is the most important page to consult on Bookmakers Review. The bookmakers listed in here are a bit more than simply NOT recommended. Some of them are outright thieves that operate as deposit only sportsbooks. Others have financially collapsed or have disappeared taking players' money. Most have proven to be unworthy with repeated payment issues and/or deceitful actions.

All of them together are the reason for the bad reputation of the online betting industry, but they are also the motive that pushes us to continue with our mission to educate and inform online bettors.

We warn players to avoid at all costs the bookmakers in this list. Players that decide to ignore our advice and try any of the betting sites listed in here, should bear in mind that we might not be effective in handling complaints against these operators when, not if, disputes arise. When asked to correct issues or assist players, Red-listed bookies have showed no intention to help. Most of them simply ignored our e-mails and phone calls.

The Costa Rica-based bookmaker is ignoring the order issued by a US Federal Court on 17 July 2006 to return all funds on its possession received from US citizens. A family of deposit only sportsbooks operating an apparently infinite number of clones all offering the same product under different names. These scam sportsbooks use copyrighted or "official" sounding names in order to deceive and take advantage of potential depositors.

At the end of September 2007, the Italian version of the Austrian bookmaker invited balance holders to send an e-mail including name, account number and account balance. The Austrian bookmaker claims the e-mail is necessary for LBB GmbH, the company which operated lastbestbet.net, to reimburse funds to owed players.

Sportsbook USA	http://www.sportsbookusa.com/	No pay. Be careful with other betting sites using the Futurebet/IGS software platform as they all seem to lack proper funding and skills to manage a sports betting operation.

SSP International	http://www.ssp.co.uk/	They are a menace to the industry with their abysmal history of no pays.

World Gaming	Sites powered by World Gaming	Following the passage of the UIGEA in October 2006, World Gaming went bankrupt owing money to Barclays Bank. It is no tclear who owns the software powering among others Sportsbook.com and Sportsbetting.com, although the owner of Cyprus-based Buronomic Limited, which also appears to be the real owner of Sportsbetting, is the more likely candidate.
World Gaming Network	Disappeared with players' funds.	Total scam.
World Sports Center	Disappeared with players' funds.	No pay. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission suspended the license of World Sport Center as a result of the criminal charges brought against the principal of WSC alleging links with the Montreal-based Rizzuto crime family.
WorldWager	http://www.worldwager.com/	No pay. WorldWager has also been proven responsible of registering domain names incorporating trademarks of others.
Xtreme Wager	Disappeared with players' funds.	No pay.
YiShengBo (formerly Easybets)	http://www.yishengbo.com/	In 2006, Easybets, then owned by BetonSports, closed to US customers voiding all pending wagers, including a number of futures on the MLB which were about to be settled.

We suggest bettors to check this list on a regular basis to determine if new bookmakers have been added. We also keep pointing up at the importance of selectivity in the first place and strongly invite bettors to play only with the online sportsbooks and betting exchanges recommended in the Green List.
