Much like the top online betting sites we recommend, prediction market leader Kalshi will become well-known to those who frequent Madison Square Garden or watch the MSG Networks, as the company has inked a multi-year partnership agreement with New York’s iconic stadium and media outlet.

Brand Recognition

Those who have used prediction market platforms to buy anything from a contract on silver to a sports event contract on the Knicks to cover the spread recognize the Kalshi name. Kalshi, the preeminent prediction market platform, has faced legal disputes with various states’ gaming commissions and attorneys general.

But Kalshi is determined to continue offering sports event contracts, and it now has the assistance of the federal agency that licenses it, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). What better way to promote its services than by advertising at one of the most iconic stadiums in the United States?

Thus, Kalshi is now in a partnership agreement with Madison Square Garden and the MSG Networks, where the sixth-floor concourse will be branded the Kalshi Concourse, while digital advertisements within and outside Madison Square Garden featuring Kalshi will be prevalent.

“As leaders in live entertainment, we are always searching for opportunities to partner with forward-thinking brands on innovative partnerships and, as such, are proud to welcome Kalshi as the first prediction market partner of Madison Square Garden,” said Doug Jossem, EVP Global Sports & Entertainment Partnerships at MSG Entertainment.

“By bringing The World’s Most Famous Arena together with Kalshi, we are providing fans with a unique way to experience both brands, and we look forward to exploring how our companies can collaborate through this exciting new partnership,” Jossem added.

The partnership is a big leap for a brand leading an industry that was primarily known only in the financial world until 15 months ago. That is when Kalshi began offering binary sports event contracts shortly before the 2025 Super Bowl, featuring the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Madison Square Garden is an iconic staple in the lineage of New York cultural history, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to officially become a part of the MSG family. Both MSG and Kalshi share a common vision of engaging consumers on the interests they are most passionate about – whether that be pop culture, sports, music, or entertainment,” said Adam Barrick, Head of Sports Partnerships at Kalshi.

“As ‘The World’s Largest Prediction Market,’ partnering with ‘The World’s Most Famous Arena’ is a major milestone in Kalshi’s history — we’re extraordinarily proud to partner with the best.”

Legal Headwinds Persist

The legal battle raging between state legislators and the gaming commissions that license mobile sports betting platforms is growing even more contentious by the week. On one side, politicians are drafting bills to outlaw prediction markets in their jurisdictions, while on the other, the CFTC Chairman Michael Selig has moved from the sidelines to the battlefield, aligning with Kalshi in its legal battles with the states’ legal and gaming authorities.

The CFTC has filed lawsuits against regulatory bodies in several states, including Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, and New York, arguing that its federal authority supersedes that of any state agency, including gaming commissions.

“Some states continue to pursue ever-escalating, illegal enforcement actions against CFTC-regulated exchanges, despite rulings from multiple courts halting those efforts,” Selig said. “Congress has entrusted the CFTC with the sole authority to regulate commodity derivatives markets, including prediction markets. To any state that seeks to nullify federal law and seize authority over these markets, I say again: We will see you in court.”
