The Central Division will look a lot different in a couple of years. The teams that don’t win will lose out on opportunities with their current roster. However, the winning teams will lose players to more significant contracts elsewhere. Take a look at which team has the best NBA odds to win the Central Division.

NBA Central Division Preview

The Central Division got very intriguing this offseason. The Milwaukee Bucks have owned the division since Giannis Antetokounmpo took over as the league star. However, the Bucks let go of Mike Budenholzer and introduced Adrian Griffin as the next head coach.

Budenholzer won a championship with the Bucks two years ago and was canned. Now, Antetokounmpo has decided that he will play out this season. He might consider moving to a different team if things don’t go well.

Can the Bucks win the Central Division in 2024? Let’s break down the Central Division below and provide the best bets for each win total for Central teams this season at the NBA futures market.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks didn’t get much better compared to last season. They’ve still got Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Grayson Allen. Bobby Portis would come off the bench, and Malik Beasley, Pat Connaughton, and Jae Crowder aren’t awful rotation pieces, but they better hope other players step up, like Andre Jackson Jr., who was selected in the most recent NBA draft.

The Bucks are still an excellent team, but they’re not different from last year’s team. They’ll earn a bunch of wins and cover the total, but that’s about it.

Cleveland Cavaliers

  • Cavaliers Over 50½ Wins (-110) at BetOnline

If there’s a team that can be better than the Bucks in the Central Division, it’s the Cavaliers. The starting lineup is more appealing. Darius Garland would play the point, and Donovan Mitchell would play the two-guard. They’d have Caris LeVert at small forward, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen down low.

I also like the depth of the Cavaliers. They’ve got Ricky Rubio, Isaac Okoro, Georges Niang, and a new piece in Max Strus, who will be huge down the stretch from three-point land.

Take the Cavaliers to get Over the win total of 50.5 at the offshore sportsbooks.

Indiana Pacers

It’s another rebuilding year for the Pacers. Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield can’t do it all alone.

The Pacers just gave a bag to Bruce Brown Jr., which might not work out very well. The team has a lot of young talent, like Jarace Walker, Isaiah Wong, and Oscar Tshiebwe. They also added new talent like Obi Toppin. However, this team is filled with young talent that isn’t quite at the “star” level.

I’d back the Under.

Chicago Bulls

This is the final year for the Bulls to make a run with Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan. This team isn’t good enough to win a championship, but they’ve got enough players on the roster to make a real run at the NBA playoffs.

LaVine and DeRozan each scored 25 points per game last year. They’ve also got Nikola Vucevic, a double-double machine last season. The Bulls could even consider playing Carlik Jones more often. He dominated in the FIBA World Cup for South Sudan.

We won’t see Lonzo Ball this season, but the Bulls have a lot of young talent who can get well. It’s do-or-die. I think the Bulls will do well this year.

Detroit Pistons

The Pistons are super talented. If everyone can just step healthy, that’d be great.

The Pistons have Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Ausar Thompson, Marcus Sasser, Jalen Duren, James Wiseman, and many other young players with a lot of potential.

It’s unlikely that this team will make the postseason, but if everyone stays healthy, they’ll earn at least 30 wins. A rebuild must start somewhere. They’ve got the talent. Now, they’ve got to put it all together and develop.

Central Division Winner

I’m concerned with the Bucks. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Firing Mike Budenholzer could prove to be a massive mistake. It could also cost them Giannis Antetokounmpo for the rest of the time. If you want value, let’s follow the NBA predictions and take the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the division. The Cavaliers have a very balanced ball club that can do anything.

Donovan Mitchell can score at will. Darius Garland is a great passer. Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen rebound exceptionally well. Both also play tremendous defense. The Cavs also have one more attempt at winning a championship with their roster. Donovan Mitchell will likely walk off to New York unless the Cavaliers prove they can contend.

This roster can be good. Back the Cavaliers to win the division.
