We’ve added three of our favorite bets tonight with an exciting 13-game slate on the menu. Which bets are you tailing?

Washington Wizards vs. Atlanta Hawks

Wednesday, November 1, 2023 – 7:30 PM EDT at State Farm Arena

The Washington Wizards are 1-2 on the season and have been very average on the offensive end. The Wizards are led by Kyle Kuzma, who has scored 22.3 points per game.

However, the Wizards have struggled to earn offensive rebounds and are just getting to the foul line at an average r -te. While Washington has been good at limiting turnovers, they’ll have to be even more careful against an Atlanta team that has forced 17% of turnovers per game this season.

Atlanta’s Lineup

On the other hand, the Hawks are looking great offensively. It’s not even Trae Young doing most of the scoring. It’s Dejounte Murray, who has averaged 21.3 points per game to lead the team.

The Hawks have scored 120.3 points per 100 possessions while shooting a 57% effective field goal percentage. Atlanta has limited turnovers to 12.7% and has the second-highest free throw rate in the NBA.

The foul shots might not come as much against a Washington defense that has allowed a 9.7 free throw rate. But the high-quality looks will come a lot.

Washington is last in the league in points per 100 possessions on defense and has allowed a league-worst 62.5% effective field goal percentage on defense. Give me the Hawks in a massive home win at -110 betting odds.

Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Wednesday, November 1, 2023 – 8:00 PM EDT at Target Center

The Denver Nuggets are 4-0 coming off their NBA Championship run last season. The Nuggets have shot a 60.6% effective field goal percentage while scoring 118.7 points per 100 possessions.

But there’s room to improve.

The Nuggets have been the worst team at getting to the foul line to begin the year. That likely won’t change against a Timberwolves team that has allowed a 14.1 free throw rate this season. Still, Denver should have success shooting the basketball against a TImberwolves team that has allowed a 53.1% effective field goal percentage.

Offensive Forces

Just don’t expect the Nuggets to dominate the offensive glass, with Minnesota holding teams to 18.9% of offensive rebounds this season.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have been below-average offensively, shooting a 51.7% effective field goal percentage while scoring just 106.2 points per 100 possessions. Minnesota should be more active on the offensive glass. But like Denver, the Timberwolves aren’t getting to the foul line at a high rate.

As long as the Nuggets hit their open shots, I like Denver to escape with a win on the road for my second pick at the top sportsbooks.

Chicago Bulls vs. Dallas Mavericks

Wednesday, November 1, 2023 – 8:30 PM EDT at American Airlines Center

While a couple of stars are game-time decisions, it seems likely that Zach LaVine and Kyrie Irving will actually play in tonight’s game. LaVine has averaged 24.5 points per game for the Chicago Bulls this season. However, he’s been one of the only bright spots offensively.

The Bulls have scored 104.5 points per 100 possessions while shooting a league-worst 46.8% effective field goal percentage.

Chicago has limited turnovers well and has earned 27% offensive rebounds. However, the Mavericks have earned 15.4% of turnovers while giving up only 22.1% of offensive rebounds.

The Mavericks match up well defensively against the Bulls.

A Clash of Styles

On the other hand, Dallas has one of the best offenses in the NBA. They’re averaging 121.9 points per 100 possessions while shooting a 58.4% effective field goal percentage.

Although the Bulls have earned 18.2% of turnovers per game defensively, the Mavericks have only turned the ball over 11.4% of the time.

This isn’t a good matchup for the Bulls.

Luka Doncic is playing at an MVP level, averaging 39 points per game. He’s getting to the foul line a lot, along with the rest of the team. While offensive rebounds aren’t coming easily, the high-quality looks have been.

That’ll continue tonight. Back the Mavericks are -5.
