The Jags are undefeated in the preseason with a 26-13 win over the Chiefs followed by a dominating performance by former New England Patriots quarterback, Mac Jones, who tossed for two touchdowns and 210 yards last week en route to a 20-7 victory over the Buccaneers. Jacksonville also fully committed to the ground game last week with 140 rushing yards on 38 carries.
Falcons Profile
Rookie first-round pick, Michael Penix Jr., had a solid debut despite the Falcons’ 20-13 loss to the Dolphins. The No. 8 overall pick in the draft went 9-of-16 for 104 yards with no TDs or picks. But last week he was held out, along with starter Kirk Cousins, and the Dirty Birds fell again, only this time by the thinnest of margins in a 13-12 setback to the Ravens.
The Pick
Trevor Lawrence and Kirk Cousins will both likely see a bit of action in this one but I believe the Falcons will pick up their first W of the preseason due to a rushing attack that will chew up plenty of yardage while Michael Penix will strike through the air with two touchdown passes in this one. You heard it here first!
