Caesars is donating $200,000 to the International Center for Responsible Gaming, which will provide research and education on problem gambling in the sportsbook industry.
Caesars, a Pioneer in Responsible Gambling
Caesars was the first commercial casino operator to set guidelines on responsible gambling, celebrating its 35th year last fall, and its commitment has not wavered through its Caesars Foundation.
Most recently, the iconic Las Vegas gaming company wrote a check to the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) that will send $180,000 to fund “competitive research grants and educational dissemination focused on topics such as the biological and psychological mechanisms of gambling, co-occurring mental health conditions, treatment innovation, public health messaging, and the impact of gambling-related policies.”
The remaining $20,000 will assist in funding the 26th Annual ICRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction for a total contribution of $200,000. “This generous commitment from Caesars Foundation underscores their ongoing leadership in corporate responsibility and dedication to advancing the science of responsible gambling,” ICRG President Arthur Paikowsky said in a statement.
Caesars Boosting iGaming Platforms
Caesars Interactive has been focusing on proprietary iGaming titles, with the most recent being Caesars Palace Signature Multihand Blackjack Surrender, created by its in-house team, Caesars Creative.
The initial rollout of the game will be found exclusively on Caesars Palace Online Casino in New Jersey, but it will soon be migrating to the company’s other two online casino gaming apps, the Horseshoe Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, found in Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia and the Canadian province of Ontario.
“Bringing our first proprietary game to market is a major milestone in our mission to create world-class, in-house developed gaming content,” said Matt Sunderland, senior vice president and chief iGaming officer at Caesars Digital. “We’re excited to continuously expand our in-house content offerings, complementing the excellent portfolio of games we’ve secured through external providers.
The effort to bolster its iGaming platforms has manifested in its in-house team and partnerships with technology companies like Bragg Gaming, tasked with creating exclusive iGaming titles that can only be found on Caesars’ online casino gaming platforms.
Caesars also made news shortly before the Kentucky Derby when it integrated its horse racing platform onto its sportsbook interface in Kentucky and Colorado. The strategic initiative is designed to promote crossover traffic between its horse players and sports bettors.
