Ciryl Gane vs. Junior Dos Santos
UFC Heavyweight Bout
UFC 256 takes place on Saturday, December the 12th, live from the UFC Apex Centre in Las Vegas
Ciryl Gane
The former Muay Thai world champion will attempt to boost his stock when he steps in the octagon to face Junior Dos Santos and given the recent track record of JDS it won't be a surprise if the Frenchman enters this weekend full of confidence.
A 6-0 record stepping up against the former UFC heavyweight champion could seem daunting to some, but Ciryl Gane has the skill set and size to punish the division.
Junior Dos Santos
JDS will go down in UFC history as one of the greats, but his age and durability are beginning to tarnish his late-career. Three back-to-back knockouts leave the former champ in a questionable situation, can he take the punishment anymore?
The pure boxing offense has been the route to many of Junior's career highlights, but with older age, his remarkable speed and precision have dropped significantly.
Fight Prediction
It is hard to envision JDS finding the success he missed out on in his previous three fights, a remarkably similar opponent to Junior's last opponents in Gane should unleash a world of pain on the ageing Brazilian.
The available odds are favouring Gane, but I doubt JDS will survive the full fifteen minutes.

Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno
UFC Flyweight Championship Bout
UFC 256 takes place on Saturday, December the 12th, live from the UFC Apex Centre in Las Vegas
Brandon Moreno
One of the most exciting aspects about following the UFC is the youth of today, and Brandon Moreno is a prime example of how entertaining the up-and-coming athletes can be.
Aged twenty-six with a UFC record of 6-2, Moreno has the world at his feet, and his diverse skill set landed him the LFA championship in 2019, and within a year of being released by the UFC and returning, has earnt a UFC championship opportunity.
Deiveson Figueiredo
He's one title defence away from making history, the current UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo defended his title just three weeks ago. It will break records when he defends the belt within a twenty-one-day period.
With that said, the history book will not make much of an impact if Figgy losses the contest. With little time to prepare, each fighter will rely on their pure MMA skills to have their hand raised.
Fight Prediction
I believe the champion will hold the advantage in all areas, Moreno has found a lot of success with his submission finishes but versus a BJJ black belt in Figgy – he's going to struggle to find that same dominance.
On the feet, Moreno will have the speed to maintain Figgy's output, but the sheer power of the champion will make Moreno think twice about entering the pocket.
Neither fighter has ever been stopped inside the distance, but Moreno has never faced such a dangerous finisher like Figgy is.
