Tennis Betting Predictions: WTA French Open Day 3

Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the WTA French Open Day 3 this Tuesday. Bookmakers Review breaks down the fixtures below and lists the best available odds from green listed bookmakers.

Cornet vs. Babos

Playing in Roland Garros brings great memories to Alize Cornet. Besides her impressive 8 – 4 record on this event since 2013, Cornet is also famous for playing her best tennis in Paris. Even though Alize is not going through a very good moment with a disappointing 9 – 10 record in 2017, the French is a completely different player in Roland Garros.

Despite winning her 2nd career title earlier this season in Budapest, Timea Babos arrives in Paris after four consecutive defeats. While some players produce their best tennis on the big stages, Babos only won 28.00% of the matches throughout her career on Grand Slam events. Adding to this, her numbers in Roland Garros are even worse with a terrible 16.67% career record on this event.

This should be a very interesting contest with Babos’ firepower contrasting with Alize’s incredible defense. Due to Cornet’s outstanding record in Paris and Timea’s lack of success on the big stages, the French is the clear favourite to win this match at 7/10 with Pinnacle while BetVictor offers 5/4 for Timea’s victory.

Barty vs. Keys

Although we’re almost in the middle of the season, Madison Keys only played 8 matches in 2017. In addition to a wrist injury that prevented Keys from competing in the first two months of the season, the American hasn’t won a single match since the Miami Open in March. Even though Madison is always a dangerous player, it’s unlikely to see the world no.13 presenting her best tennis on her debut in Paris.

Ashleigh Barty couldn’t ask for a better way to prepare this tournament after reaching the quarter-finals in Strasbourg last week. At the age of 21, Barty is going through the best moment in her career with an outstanding 19 – 7 record in 2017. After spending almost two years away from competition, Ashleigh will play her first match in Roland Garros since 2014.

Despite Madison’s better ranking and higher experience at this level, the American cannot be trusted at the moment. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to take advantage of Barty’s tennis betting odds at 51/50 with Pinnacle while Keys is available at 91/100 with William Hill.
