Rugby World Cup

Hosts Japan pulled off one of the biggest shocks in World Cup history when they beat Ireland at the weekend. The Irish will need to bounce back with an emphatic win and that could spell bad news for Russia on Wednesday. Ireland -54 is priced at 10/11 with Paddy Power. USA lost 45-7 to France in their opener, but they could fare better against an unpredictable France side that had a poor second half in their victory over Argentina. USA +28 is 10/11. England are in good form and they have great strength in depth, so England -13 against Argentina looks attractive. Japan are back in action against Scotland on Sunday and you can find a tempting 13/10 on the Brave Blossoms securing another famous victory in front of their passionate home fans.

Champions League

Real Madrid will be keen to get their Champions League campaign back on track when they host Club Brugge on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to PSG in their opener, but they are unbeaten domestically, and they should be able to blow Brugge away. Real Madrid win to nil is 13/8 with Coral. Los Blancos have kept three clean sheets in a row and they look solid right now. Juventus to beat Bayer Leverkusen and under 4.5 goals looks like great value at 17/20 with Coral. Tottenham have looked shaky in recent weeks and you might fancy the 5/4 on Bayern Munich beating them on Tuesday. Inter are flying in Serie A, but they could only draw at home with Slavia Prague in their Champions League opener, and that does not instil much confidence ahead of their trip to the Nou Camp on Wednesday. Barcelona are 4/6 with Bet365 to secure a big home win.

Europa League

Arsenal’s second string are on fire right now. They went to Germany two weeks ago and beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0, and they thrashed Championship leaders Nottingham Forest 5-0 in the EFL Cup last week. The first team will take on Man Utd at Old Trafford on Monday night, so Unai Emery is likely to turn to the exciting youngsters once again on Thursday, and they should run Belgian side Standard Liege ragged. Arsenal half-time / full-time looks good at 19/20. Cluj-draw double chance away at Celtic is priced at 6/4 with Bet365, and that looks really appealing. They beat Celtic in Champions League qualifying last month, and they beat Lazio in their Europa League opener.

India v South Africa

India’s Test team are top of the ICC world rankings, while South Africa are third, so this should be a great match. India are 8/15 to win it and that looks about right, as they are on home soil and their team is bursting with quality in the longer format. You can find 6/1 in Virat Kohli to be named man of the match, and that looks tempting when you consider his prowess with the bat.

Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

One of the biggest races of the year takes place in Longchamp on Sunday. Enable won this race in 2017 and 2018 and now she is going for the hat-trick. She is in fine form in 2019, having won the Eclipse Stakes, the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes and the Yorkshire Oaks. Nobody can beat her right now, and she looks really well priced at 4/5 with Betway to surge to victory on Sunday.
