La Liga Weekend Match Value

The first game for this weekend is the Athletic Bilbao v Celta Vigo game and, in what appears to be a trend for this week, I’m going for the away side in this one. Celta Vigo have the better current form, the better attack and sit very slightly higher in the league. Celta Vigo are also doing slightly better when comparing recent form. At odds of 3.81 with Pinnacle there is decent value here and it’s a good start for the weekend.

Up next is bottom team Las Palmas v Real Madrid and if there is one bet this season that shows that you can find value in even the lowest priced favourites, this is it. Las Palmas are, let’s talk bluntly, awful this season. They have the second worst attack in the league, the second worst defence home or away, they concede an average of 2 goals per home game and 2.08 overall. Real Madrid may not be having a classic season but they are easily too good for Las Palmas and the odds of 1.29, although extremely low, do actually represent value from some of our popular green listed bookmakers. This game should be won by a few goals so it may even be worth looking into the Asian Handicap market for this one.

Sevilla v Barcelona is game 3 and the final game for Saturday. Sevilla are having a good season so although I’m backing the favourites, and away side, Barcelona this should be a good contest.

Barcelona are the side in La Liga this season and no-one is going to stop them becoming Champions of Spain. They have the best attack in the league, the best defence, they dominate possession and take a high percentage of the chances that come their way. There is still some value in the away sides odds but it is going down. Right now you can get 1.73 with Pinnacle when it was at 1.8 before the international break.

My last bet of the weekend is on the Malaga v Villarreal game. Following my personal trend for the week I’m backing the away side. You can get odds of 2.25 with William Hill for this one and with Malaga being the flat out worst side in La Liga, that’s reasonably safe money. Villarreal look unlikely to trouble the Champions League spots this season but the Europa League is very much within reach and a win here will certainly help them attain that goal.

Those are my 4 bets for the weekend, as always, play safe with your money and only bet where you find value.
