Fit To Be Tied: Eibar, Depor Evenly Matched

Soccer: La Liga Weekend Match Value

There have been a few tough weeks of betting recently but this is among the hardest I can remember. I’m not one to go “looking” for bets and that can leave my choices very restricted. I’ve got four bets for this week and I’m being ultra careful with my stakes. Although each of them has value, it is on a fine edge.

Deportivo La Coruna vs. Eibar

With my first bet featuring two struggling teams, perhaps it’s not too surprising for me to pick out a draw in this one. Neither side is significantly better than the other and a point doesn’t really do either of them a favor, but I think that’s what they’re going to have to put up with Saturday.

Statistically, Eibar is the better side this season but I don’t think their attack away from home has enough to beat the Depor defense. This could be car crash TV and just might be one for the fans. If you follow me and bet on the draw, then look to get at least the 3.36 on offer from Pinnacle (green-listed bookmaker). Do not go below 3.3.

Levante vs. Espanyol

I think we’re looking at an away win in Sunday's match. The stats are pretty much all in Espanyol’s favor in their road game and I’m happy to follow that. There is a very tight head-to-head record between these two in recent years and those stats could be just enough to tip the balance.

Bet Victor (green-listed bookmaker) has an away win at 2.63, but you can get slightly more with Pinnacle (green-listed bookmaker). As always, shop around for the best odds.

Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid

This is the big game of the weekend. Although Barcelona looks like they’re going to take the La Liga title, there are still a few hurdles they’re going to have to overcome.

Sunday's match is one of those hurdles.

Atletico Madrid has hit a good patch of form recently and they’re a dangerous team to any side in La Liga. I’m not saying they’re going to win but I do think they will stifle Barcelona enough to get a draw, and that pays out nicely with odds of 4 at some green-listed bookmakers.

Celta Vigo vs. Las Palmas

My last bet of the round is in the last match of the round. I’m known for my “crazies” but every so often there’s a low odds selection that still has enough value to be backed. In this game Monday we have just such an occasion.

When playing odds as low as this, you need to wring every last shred of value out of the odds. The markets are moving so play it careful here. You want at least 1.5 or you shouldn’t be betting on it.

Those are my tips for the week. Now let’s see how they play out!
