Senator Wright's SB 190 died a couple of weeks ago after it failed to make it out of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

The sports betting bill had been introduced in February by California State Senator Roderick Wright, who wanted California to be ready will New Jersey be successful in overturning the federal Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, allowing US states to offer sports betting products to their residents.
