No introduction will do this weekend’s MMA festivities much justice. Still, with the huge milestone of UFC 300 just two days away, the entire combat sports world is rejoicing in excitement as top sportsbooks receive a plethora of wagering action like they’ve never seen.

Despite the 300th pay-per-view milestone, this doesn’t alter our weekly scheduled plan, and I’m here to support your UFC parlay betting needs.

Below, you’ll find two of my favorite picks from the UFC 300 fight card, and I’ve concluded that these betting lines are worth coupling together for this weekend’s event; continue reading to find the best MMA parlay value and betting odds on Saturday night.

UFC 300 Information

Jalin Turner vs. Renato Moicano

UFC 300 Lightweight Bout

Turner: The Story So Far

Six years into his UFC tenure, Jalin Turner’s promotional record of 7-4 doesn’t do the man justice. Recent losses to Dan Hooker and Mateusz Gamrot both could’ve gone in his favor, and considering the fact he’s still just 28 years old, a prime version of this well-rounded wunderkind is yet to bless the octagon.

  • Turner Pro MMA Record: 14-7-0
  • Turner Knockout Wins: 10
  • Turner Submission Wins: 4

Moicano: The Story So Far

Under the company’s banner, Renato Moicano is on the brink of UFC-veteran status following ten years of service. However, it seems to have also taken him a decade to be noticed, as a newly outspoken and flamboyant version of the Brazilian OG has been making the rounds in media and on socials.

This, however, shouldn’t revert from the fact that he’s always failed versus elite opponents. Lower-ranked opponents have often faltered against a BJJ masterclass, but as a complete fighter, he’s undoubtedly lacking.

  • Moicano Pro MMA Record: 18-5-1
  • Moicano Knockout Wins: 0
  • Moicano Submission Wins: 10

UFC 300 Turner vs. Moicano: Skillset Breakdown

For me personally, this contest is black and white. Turner will own a huge offensive and defensive striking upside, while Moicano is a grapple or bust. Unfortunately for the latter, Turner is no slouch in grappling situations, as evidenced in the Gamrot bout and the fact that he’s never lost via submission to date.

Turner Moneyline Reasoning

Moicano, aged 34, hasn’t added any noteworthy tools to his arsenal in recent years. Then, we have Turner, an ultra-fast, quick-footed striker who boasts a respectable ground game and has been impressive even in defeat with huge growth potential fight-to-fight.

The odds favor Turner and with very good reasoning. We must judge these two fighters’ skill-for-skill, and while Moicano may have the better pre-fight interview, I’m fading the forced comedy and recency bias for the man I believe wins this battle nine times out of ten.

Bobby Green vs. Jim Miller

UFC 300 Lightweight Bout

Green: The Story So Far

Bobby Green, like Miller, is no stranger to the octagon. After 11 years and 23 fights, he remains active among UFC lightweights, with two wins from his three most recent appearances.

  • Green Pro MMA Record: 35-15-1
  • Green Knockout Wins: 11
  • Green Submission Wins: 9

Miller: The Story So Far

A true legend of the sport, Jim Miller will be recognized as the only fighter in history to compete at UFC 100, 200, and 300 with his appearance at the T-Mobile Arena this Saturday. Sixteen years and 42 fights later, it’s quite remarkable to see the 40-year-old remain active, and with a two-fight win streak, you have to tip your hat to the fella.

  • Miller Pro MMA Record: 37-17-0
  • Miller Knockout Wins: 7
  • Miller Submission Wins: 20

UFC 300 Green vs. Miller: Skillset Breakdown

While I understand the buzz around Jim Miller, I’m not convinced that back-to-back wins over two cans is enough to receive the steam his underdog moneyline position has seen. Back in January, he opened at +180; I would’ve liked to have seen +230 or above, and perhaps contemplating a stab on the vet would’ve been viable.

However, I get happier as the ML betting odds on Green continue plummeting. In a striking battle, Miller isn’t going to touch Green, who boasts excellent footwork and head movement, which only the meanest strikers and the champ in this weight class have overcome.

So, this would leave Miller with a grappling upside, right? Wrong… before the Makhachev bout, Green was known for his incredible takedown defense, and while many believe the knockout threat is present, this is nothing more than recency bias.

Green Moneyline Reasoning

There is no comparison between the levels of competition these two have faced lately. At the same time, Miller has competed against opponents matched to his age and current ceiling; Green has consistently fought difficult opponents while continuing to test himself.

The odds favor Green, but -180 is a gift. Yes, Miller is a crafty veteran, but his fight intelligence isn’t going to be useful versus an even craftier veteran who hasn’t lost his speed, patterned boxing game, and all-around skill set.
