Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox

Monday, April 15, 2024 – 07:40 PM ET at Guaranteed Rate Field

Division rivals begin the week going at each other in Chicago where the White Sox collide with the Kansas City Royals. Your starting pitchers are Seth Lugo (2-0, 1.45) for KC against Chicago’s Erick Fedde (0-0, 4.30).

Lineups Getting 2nd Looks at Starting Pitchers

Now in his ninth year and his third team in as many seasons, Lugo is off to a fantastic start to his Royals career. He mastered the White Sox 11 days ago at Kauffman Stadium, pitching into the seventh and allowing just 1 run, then beat the Astros with a similar stat line last week.

Fedde is also with his third team in three seasons, one of those in Korea last season. He pitched well enough to beat the Royals 10 days ago, but got no support in a 2-1 KC win as -180 chalk at top sportsbooks.

KC on 6-Game Streak in Rivalry

The Royals swept that 4-game set in Kansas City earlier this month, holding the White Sox to just 5 runs while scoring 20 times. Of course, some of that is due to Chicago’s lineup already being without Yoan Moncada, Luis Robert Jr. and Eloy Jimenez for various lengths of time with various injuries. Again.

Both teams are trending ‘under’ early on, and that’s the way to play Monday’s series opener.
