It’s still possible for the Vegas Golden Knights to leapfrog the Nashville Predators with a win tonight in their final regular season game to give them a better seed heading into the post-season and we are backing their top scorer Jonathan Marchessault to finally get one past the Ducks this season.
Marchessault has scored 13 goals more than the next best on the Golden Knights roster and comes into tonight’s home game having scored 21 of his 42 goals on home ice.
Interestingly Marchessault has only averaged 2.2 shots per game when facing Anaheim this season but overall he has managed an average of 3.1 shots per game this season. Although it’s only 0.9 of a difference, that can be the difference between scoring and not.

Even if Marchessault manages one shot or ten tonight we do like his chances of getting on the scoreboard at plus money on home ice in the last game of the season against an Anaheim team who have zero to play for.
