Rookie Spencer Schwellenbach (3-5, 4.62 ERA, 1.16 WHIP) began the month with two stellar performances. He held the Phillies to just one run over six innings in a 6-1 Braves win. He tgeb followed that with an even sharper effort. Against the Padres, he went seven full and held San Diego to just one run on three hits over seven full.
However, his last start fell a bit short. He allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings in a 6-2 loss to the Cardinals.
Mets Pitching Profile
Right-hander Tyler Megill (2-4, 5.08 ERA, 1.44 WHIP) will rejoin the Mets rotation after being summoned from Triple-A Syracuse to replace Christian Scott who went down with a sprained ACL.
Megill had been roughed up this season with the big-league club and even had a tough time in his first two starts with Syracuse before turning it around in his last start in the minors, allowing only one unearned across five innings.

Both teams are in a dogfight for a wild card spot as Philadelphia is running away with the division. But on Saturday afternoon, the Mets have the home-field advantage but the Braves have a decided pitching advantage.
