The Canadian duo claimed the top two spots in the Pacific division in 2022 with both the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames being the only teams to amass more than 100 points.

Will it be another Canadian 1st and 2nd in the Pacific this year? They have a strong showing and both the Flames and Oilers are the only teams that have their regular season points set at over 100 points.

It’s been 7 years since the Pacific division last produced a Stanley Cup winner.

Anaheim Ducks

  • 79.5 Points
  • Last Season Pts: 76 (7th)

Anaheim were impressive last season having made the playoffs when many didn’t expect them to do so.

Although this season looks like another rebuild. GM Pat Verbeek decided to trade away his pending free agents.

Troy Terry stepped up in big way last season, prior to last season he had 47 points in 4 season, last year he played almost double the amount of games and accumulated 67 points for his team.

Anaheim are still in a rebuild and although we kind of expect them to go over 79.5 points, it is a sharp line, they might end on 81/82 so for us it’s a pass.

NHL Pick: Pass

Calgary Flames

  • 102.5 Points
  • Last Season Pts: 111 (1st)

Although Calgary Flames topped the division last season with 111 points, things were starting to look bleak during the off season with Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk deciding not to re-sing with the team, they were left with two of their best players on the way out.

Things have since started to look much brighter with the signing of Nazem Kadri, Johnathan Huberdeau and Mackenzie Weegar.

In our opinion, the Flames points line at 102.5 is a little low, although we don’t expect them to run away with this division, they should be top two and we like their over 102.5 points total.

Edmonton Oilers

  • 102.5 Points
  • Last Season Pts: 104 (2nd)

Just like their Canadian counterparts the Oilers points total has also been set at 102.5, they made a deep playoff run last season (finally) only losing out to the eventual winners Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference final.

Goaltending has been an issue for this team but fans are hoping the addition of Jack Campbell will pay off ahead of this season.

We expect another Oilers and Flames dominance in the Pacific division this season.

Take the Oilers over 102.5 points, as we believe they will top the Pacific this year and clear this line with relative ease.

Los Angeles Kings

  • 96.5 Points
  • Last Season Pts: 99 (3rd)

The Kings made the playoffs last season for the first time since 2018 and overall had a strong campaign accumulating a total of 99 points.

They are currently still going through their re-build phase, but the addition of Kevin Fiala is a very positive one and we expect this Kings team to get stronger in the coming years, they can finish 3rd again and make the playoffs.

It’s a pass for us with their line being set at 96.5 points, if we got around 92.5, we would be all over their line points total to go over, but 96.5 is a little too high for us right now in the NHL odds.

NHL Pick: Pass

San Jose Sharks

  • 74.5 Points
  • Last Season Pts: 77 (6th)

This San Jose Sharks team has gone backwards, not choosing to rebuild has hurt them massively over the previous few seasons.

The Sharks were only 1 point ahead of the Ducks for 6th place finish in the division and we believe the Ducks to be much better than San Jose right now.

The Sharks are now possibly the worst team in this division and we are liking their regular season points total to go under 74.5.

Seattle Kraken

  • 81.5 Points
  • Last Season Pts: 60 (8th)

Look let’s be honest we knew what to expect from the Kraken last season, and in fairness they were only the 3rd worst team in the NHL last season. It’s better than being the worst in your inaugural season.

With that said we can’t see where the top-rated sportsbooks are pulling an 81.5 points line for Seattle this forthcoming season.

This is an under bet for us, and possible our favorite NHL pick in the entire division.

Despite a few strong additions to the roster during the offseason, we can’t see this team improving by 22 points.

Vancouver Canukcs

  • 92.5 Points
  • Last Season Pts: 92 (5th)

The Canucks are one of the only teams to have their regular season points line to be the exact same as their season points total from last season.

This Canucks team has improved over the off season and we believe this team is strong enough to finish 3rd / 4th overall this season and make the playoffs.

We lean over 92.5 points but it’s going to be a pass for us as we can’t seem to find an edge with the Canucks, it’s hard to know what you’re going to get with this team these days.

NHL Pick: Pass

Las Vegas Golden Knights

  • 96.5 Points
  • Last Season Pts: 94 (4th)

The Golden Knights were injury riddled last season and underachieved massively, this season they already start on the backfoot with goaltender Robin Lehner out for the season.

They also offloaded Max Pacioretty, which was a poor move in our opinion, it’s going to be a mediocre season for the Golden Knights we believe and their under 96.5 seems like a generous line, we are taking the under.
