Divisional Series Remaining Teams

Although the Wild Card Series didn’t deliver the best matchups, we’re on to the Divisional Series. Eight teams remain in the MLB Playoffs.

Therefore, we’ve got four intriguing matchups before Tuesday arrives. Each series in the Divisional Series is a best-of-five series, with the higher seed getting a home-field advantage for a possible Game 7.

In the National League, the Atlanta Braves will face the Philadelphia Phillies. These two teams are very familiar with one another as they’re divisional rivals. Meanwhile, the San Diego Padres punched their ticket into the NLDS and will face their NL West rival, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Meanwhile, in the American League, the Seattle Mariners take on their divisional rival, the Houston Astros, in the ALDS. Only the Yankees will be dealt a team outside of their division for the Divisional Series. Let’s break down the odds for each matchup before Game 1’s begins on Tuesday.

NLDS: Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves

The Braves are currently -185 to win the series over the Phillies. The Phillies, on the other hand, are sitting at +155 to win the series. Atlanta has been a juggernaut this season and swept the Phillies in their most recent meeting.

Atlanta has been a tough team throughout the year’s second half. If you’re looking to bet on the series correct score, you will find that the most probable outcome is the Braves winning the series 3-2.

The Braves to win 3-2 is sitting at +300. Atlanta to win the series 3-1 is +330, and the Braves to win 3-0 is sitting at +400. On the other hand, the Phillies winning 3-1 is the most likely outcome at +475. Next is the Phillies to win 3-2 at +550; at +950, you can get the Phillies to sweep the Braves.

Markets to Be Bet On

There are plenty of other markets that can be bet on the playoffs. You’re able to parlay Game One with the Series.

For example, you can bet the Braves at -110 to win the first game and series. You can also bet the Braves or Phillies’ series handicap.

The Phillies’ +2.5 would be -500, but the Braves -1.5 games have some solid value at +140.

NLDS: San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The same variety of bets can also be placed on the Padres-and-Dodgers series. The Dodgers have -210 odds to win the NLDS over the Padres.

Meanwhile, the Padres have +175 odds to win the series. The Dodgers to win the series 3-2 is +280, while the Dodgers to win 3-1 is +320. If you like the Dodgers to sweep, the odds sit at +360.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking to bet on the Padres, you can get them to win 3-1 at +500. San Diego is also +600 to win the series 3-2. And if you like the Padres to sweep, you can find them at +1200. The +600 odds for the Padres to win in five games is juicy.

ALDS: Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros

The Astros have the highest probability of winning their divisional series with -220 odds.

Meanwhile, the Mariners have +185 odds to beat the Astros. When it comes to series betting, you can bet the Astros with the series 3-2 at +310. They’re also +310 to win 3-1 and 3-0. The probability is the same for each bet.

On the other hand, the Mariners have +550 odds to win the series 3-1. They’ve also got the same +550 odds to win the series 3-2, but the Mariners to sweep the division series sits at +1400. It’s highly unlikely.

I like the Mariners to get at least one win as my MLB pick, so we’ll see.

ALDS: Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees

Finally, the Yankees have -210 odds to beat the Guardians outright in the ALDS. The Guardians are holding a +175 price tag for those interested. The Yankees to win the series 3-2 is sitting at +300 but the price for New York to win 3-1 is also the same at +300.

The Yankees to sweep is sitting at +350, and with the way the Guardians have hit recently, that’s not a terrible option. Still, the pitching for Cleveland has been terrific.

Odds for the Guardians to win the series 3-1 are sitting at +550. Meanwhile, the Guardians to get a 3-2 series win is sitting at +600.

Finally, the Guardians to sweep the Yankees is at +1100. For what it’s worth, taking an underdog to win a series 3-2 has interesting value. The underdog won’t be at home in Game 5, but I could see one of these teams knocking off the favorite in the final game of the series.
