After a week off, the PGA Tour returns this week down in Mexico with the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship with a new course designed by Tiger Woods for the players to test their skills. PGA young guns Ludvig Aberg, Cameron Young and Sahith Theegala head an attractive betting market.

Weather Forecast

Nothing much to say about the weather forecast for the week coming in Cabos San Lucas, with warm and settled temperatures throughout and importantly not much wind either.

Can Taylor Pendrith Finally Get Off the Mark?

Perennially golf fans often ask when will Taylor Pendrith finally get off the mark with a first PGA Tour win.

I think this could be the week for the thirty-two-year-old Canadian to break his duck, as he has an awful lot in his favor.

Firstly, last time out at the Shriners Open, Pendrith looked in fine fettle with a solid 3rd place finish. Secondly, this week’s test of wide fairways and coastal tracks looks the perfect fit for the Canadian to make it to top 10 at Bermuda and Pebble Beach.

Thirdly, much of Pendrith’s strength is in his game off the tee and an ability to hit the ball long with accuracy, which looks in keeping for Tiger Woods' ideals for the course. The Big Cat was quoted about the course he designed by saying: “Angles of approach are going to be very important and will dictate the type of shots you should consider. I love this kind of golf!”

Despite the fairways being the widest on the PGA Tour, there are obviously some nuances for the best drivers to exploit this week, and Pendrith is one of those. Among your best golf bets at BMR, take Taylor Pendrith at (+4500) with Bovada, one of our top-rated sportsbooks.

Why Harry Hall Is a Lively Long Shot

I believe that Englishman Harry Hall is a lively outsider this week in the World Wide Technology Championship. Let's investigate the case for the twenty-six-year-old from Camborne in Cornwall.

For several years now, Hall has been based in Las Vegas as he plied his trade on the Korn Ferry Tour and is now in the big league of the PGA Tour. Interestingly, on his penultimate start in his home game of the Shriners at TPC Summerlin Hall, he looked on the way back to the form that saw him go very close to a maiden PGA Tour title earlier in the year at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Looking back to his form in his home game was no surprise given how well he had played in the Shriners the previous two seasons, but when he backed it up with a top 25 at the Zozo Championship in Japan, he caught my eye a little more. That's because normally, Hall thrives on easier tests where a premium is on-going very low, so often, resort courses like this week’s or the one in Las Vegas suit him perfectly, which the Zozo Championship is not.

This week is Hall's next start on a more resort-style course, and he's already performed well in similar agronomy conditions at the Puerto Rico Open and the Mexico Open at Vidanta, on both occasions finishing in the top 10.

At BetOnline, they have a sporting top 20 price of (+400), and I like a strong bet on that for Harry Hall with a more modest wager on an outright win.
