Edmonton will be very happy to be taking the series back to Canada, tied 1-1 with two home games to come. It’s been a tight series so far with only 4.1 goals per game scored, but tonight we believe the floodgates will open.

Let’s find out what the NHL odds at the top-rated sportsbooks look like.

Dallas Stars vs. Edmonton Oilers

Monday, May 27, 2024 – 08:30 PM ET at Rogers Place

Time to Lay Down the Hammer

The Edmonton Oilers have finally become the playoff team many hoped and prayed for years.

Since Connor “Mcjesues” McDavid was drafted first overall by the Oilers in 2015, the Oilers have never been to the finals once despite him constantly being one of the top points scorers in the league. They have only been to the Conference finals once, where they lost 4-0 in the series.

A Different Feel

Something feels different this time around for the Oilers, their goaltending and defending has been solid compared to years past, and the likes of Leon Draisaitl has upped his game along with McDavid, with both players currently ranked 1st and 2nd overall for points this postseason.

Let’s not forget the fact they have the top 4 points scorers in the playoffs along with 4 of the top 5, as Zach Hyman has the 5th most amount of points.

Hyman makes up for the fact he has only had the 5th most points because he is currently the top goalscorer this postseason with 12 goals, three more than teammate Leon Draisaitl who resides in 2nd.

NHL Best Bet

Make no bones about it, we are pretty strong on the Oilers winning this home game, but we are more confident tonight’s game sees some goals. The previous two games had 4 and 5 goals respectively, but that was in Dallas

It’s time to open the freeway because the Oilers have averaged 4.3 goals per game on home ice in their previous 10 games and tonight we believe the total can go over 5.5 goals for -110 NHL betting odds.

Encouragingly 4 of the previous 5 games between these teams when Edmonton played at home has gone over 5.5 goals, with the only loser ending on five goals. We think we will see some goals tonight in Canada.
