Rookie Jonathan Cannon (1-2, 4.59, 1.41) returned to the big leagues after a bumpy month of April when he was sent down to Triple-A Charlotte after ending with a 7.27 ERA over three starts. However, his first three outings in June were tremendous, allowing just one run over 18-plus innings. But then came his fourth start last Sunday and he was torched for eight runs (five earned) and was given the hook after the first inning.
