We wanted a player on side who will be suffering no fatigue from the Masters Tournament, and Christiaan Bezuidenhout aka “Bez” is that guy!
The South African will consider himself unfortunate to miss out on a place in the Masters, but that could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the twenty-nine-year-old World #56 who will be fresher than most of the field.
A huge plus for Christiaan Bezuidenhout is that he looks the perfect fit for Harbour Town Golf Links with his neat and tidy game. That is borne out by his three previous results here where he has been no worse than 33rd.
Bez's First PGA Win?
Expect Bezuidenhout to be motivated by the agony of just missing out on the Masters, and with the other major championships and Presidents Cup in view, he knows one good week will lock them up.
Still awaiting his first PGA Win, Bezuidenhout is a proven winner on the DP World Tour and back home on the Sunshine Tour and has a runners-up position already this season on the PGA Tour at the American Express. One of those wins was at Valderrama in Spain, a difficult tree-lined track and he has contended prominently at the BMW PGA Championship, at Wentworth, which has a very strong correlation with results here.

Can Taylor Moore Keep the Good Form Running?
We believe that if Taylor Moore can keep his good form going one more week, then he has a decent shot at winning the Heritage Classic.
This year had been slow to get under way for the thirty-year-old Texan, but recent weeks have shown his game trending back into form nicely. Last week’s effort at the Masters was a very creditable one and the event previous he was runner up in his home state Houston Open.
Last year, Moore contended here on course debut, eventually finishing 11th with a below average final round undermining a strong week’s work.
A few weeks prior to that in 2023, Moore landed his first PGA Tour title at the Valspar Championship, which has always had a very strong results correlation form line, through players such as Webb Simpson and Luke Donald to name a couple.
With last years' experience under his belt, this year would be a good time to improve a handful of shots. If he does, then Taylor Moore can win the Heritage Classic at (+8000) with Bovada.
