Florida Panthers vs. Philadelphia Flyers

Sunday, March 24, 2024 – 06:00 PM ET at Wells Fargo Center

Target Value Odds on 1P Tie

The Florida Panthers might be last year’s Stanley Cup runners-up and one of the best teams around this season, but they could be held tight, on the road, against this year’s biggest surprise of the season as they face the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Flyers have proven to be a strong first-period team on home ice this season, having gone 16-13, which is the 4th most amount of home wins. Despite losing 13 which is ranked as the 5th worst at home, it must be noted they have played 4-6 road games than most teams thus far this season.

The Panthers are not an easy victory for any team in this league, and there’s a reason they have only lost 20 of 70 games in regulation (5 overtime). Florida is also a strong first-period team on the road having gone 14-7 thus far this season.

NHL Pick

Both these teams are in a playoff position, but both are fighting hard for different reasons. The Flyers are trying to stay inside the playoff zone, whilst the Panthers are looking to end the season as the top team in the Eastern Conference.

Because these two teams have seen four of their previous five meetings end as a tie at the end of the first period, we like the +175 NHL betting odds available for tonight’s first period to also end as a tie.

Edmonton Oilers vs. Ottawa Senators

Sunday, March 24, 2024 – 06:00 PM ET at Canadian Tire Centre

McDavid Let’s Loose

This has to be a joke. But it’s not April Fool’s Day for another week, right? Connor McDavid (McJesues to some) is only laying -130 NHL betting odds to see over 1.5 points in this Canadian rivalry matchup.

Where to begin with this one? McDavid has been tearing it up this season and in recent games. In his previous 10 NHL games, he is 7-3 to the over 1.5 points line averaging exactly 2 points per game in the same period.

McDavid is also sitting 3rd overall for the most points this season, only four and eight points behind the leaders. It also must be noted McDavid has played four and three games less than the two leaders Nathan McKinnon (2nd) and Nikita Kucherov(1st).

NHL Pick

We are more than happy to only be looking at laying -130 NHL odds here, McDavid is almost a Shoo-in for 2+ points most nights.

We are loving this even more because right now he is on a 3-0 streak having scored 2/4/3 points in each of his previous three games, and should be eager for points tonight following a 6-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs last night.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Sunday, March 24, 2024 – 06:00 PM ET at PNC Arena

Insane Value on 1P Tie

The Toronto Maple Leafs rank 4th this season for the most overtime games, while the Carolina Hurricanes have seen the 10th most games end in a regulation tie after three periods.

We very much like the incredible value at +375 for tonight’s matchup between these two strong teams to end in a regulation tie. Win or lose this is a value pick and a strong one at that.

NHL Pick

The previous game between these teams went to overtime, whilst the Maple Leafs have seen 3 of their previous 10 games go to overtime, Carolina has seen three of their previous five head to overtime, including back-to-back games.

The Hurricanes had a night off last night whilst Toronto beat the Edmonton Oilers 6-3, this is why the Hurricanes are favored, but we believe for these odds on the tie after regulation the Maple Leafs can hold their own on the road in back-to-back games.
