Montreal Canadiens vs. New York Islanders
Wednesday, April 12, 2023 – 07:00 PM EDT at UBS Arena
Brock Nelson (New York Islanders)
Over/Under Shots
- Goals Scored: 34
- Goals Assisted: 39
- Shots Per Game: 2.70
The value of this bet is off the charts. We are looking to take the New York Islanders’ top shot-taker this season, Brock Nelson, to see over 2.5 shots at +100.
This is a must-win game for the NY Islanders if they wish to fight for the final playoff spot remaining in the NHL. On home ice this season, Nelson has averaged 2.95 shots per game and has averaged 4 per game when facing the Montreal Canadiens this season.
Although Nelson has had only 3+ shots once in his previous 8 games, we like him to bounce back in a big way tonight.
His stats recently haven’t been favorable, but we believe his shot line should be around -120 in this spot given the circumstances and the vulnerability of the opposing team, who allow the 5th most amount of shots in the NHL this season.

Dallas Stars vs. St. Louis Blues
Wednesday, April 12, 2023 – 07:30 PM EDT at Enterprise Center
Jordan Kyrou (St. Louis Blues)
Anytime Goalscorer
- Goals Scored: 37
- Goals Assisted: 35
- Shots Per Game: 3.41
This could be a let-down spot for the visiting Dallas Stars, despite playing some excellent hockey right now. The St. Louis Blues’ top goalscorer thus far this season, Jordan Kyrou, looks to be a nice set of odds at +160 to score anytime tonight, according to Missouri betting sites.
Despite Kyrou being very inconsistent with his scoring, we like the fact he has been goalless in two games and has scored a respectable 8 goals in 13 games when having had 2 days’ rest between games.
The Blues have been scoring 3.3 goals per game at home in the previous 10. If they score three tonight, Kyrou will likely be on the scoreboard.

San Jose Sharks vs. Calgary Flames
Wednesday, April 12, 2023 – 10:00 PM EDT at Scotiabank Saddledome
Erik Karlsson (San Jose Sharks)
Over/Under Assists
- Goals Scored: 25
- Goals Assisted: 75
- Shots Per Game: 2.56
Erik Karlsson represents some nice value at -125 to get an assist tonight in this road game against a very deflated Calgary Flames. The Flames blew their playoff chances last time out, and despite being heavy -220 favorites at the NHL odds, don’t be surprised if the Sharks spring a surprise win as underdogs.
Erik Karlsson has had 75 assists thus far this season (the 3rd most in the entire league). He has gone two games without an assist but has had a 67% success rate against Calgary this season recording five assists in three games.
Hitting at a 67% hit rate this season, we are liking Karlsson to grab potentially 2 assists here.
