There’s a lot of action in the NHL tonight with 16 games taking place, and for the first time ever each game will start 15 minutes after the next.

It’s a big card and there’s a lot of potential bets to be made, so here are some of the best bets at the top sportsbooks to take ahead of tonight’s action.

San Jose Sharks vs. Florida Panthers

Tuesday, October 24, 2023 – 07:45 PM EDT at FLA Live Arena

Can Sharks Hang With Panthers?

It’s been a difficult season for San Jose (as we predicted) having not won a single game, they have also only managed to score 7 and allowed 20 in just five games.

Florida have not had the best of starts to the season either having gone 2-3 overall, but they will surely fancy their chances of beating the Sharks on home ice tonight.

Can the Sharks hang with the Panthers scoring? We don’t believe so and we very much like the value on them to cover the -1.5 PK line.

The Pick

Take Florida to cover the spread in this matchup, although we haven’t a lot of faith in the Panthers right now in terms of dominating games and not allowing goals, they are a far better team than San Jose and the Sharks have failed to cover the +1.5 PK line in 4 of their opening 5 games.

NHL Pick: Florida Panthers -1.5 (-110) at BetOnline

Dallas Stars vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Tuesday, October 24, 2023 – 07:30 PM EDT at PPG Paints Arena

Jason Robertson (Dallas Stars)

It most definitely comes as a surprise to see Dallas’ star player and number one goalscorer last season having failed to score in his previous five outings in the NHL, but tonight’s road game represents a prime opportunity to break that trend as he faces off against a Pittsburgh team who have gone 2-3 and allowed 3.1 goals per game so far this season and conceded 12 in their previous three games.

The Pick

24-year-old Robertson ended last season as the Stars’ top goalscorer with 53 goals in 101 games and interestingly has faced the Penguins three times in his career to date, registering five assists he has yet to score a goal against the Penguins.

We believe the betting odds are way too strong at +190 not to get involved here, although Robertson is cold right now and doesn’t have a single goal against Pittsburgh, these odds are way too high for a player of his caliber to score and we would happily bet him down to as low as +150 to score anytime in tonight’s matchup.

Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks

Tuesday, October 24, 2023 – 08:30 PM EDT at United Center

David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins)

The Boston Bruins have started this season where they left off last year having had a record number of points scored in 2022/23 the Bruins have started a solid 5-0 this season having allowed only 7 goals in five games.

We expect another dominant Boston performance tonight and a goal from their star player David Pastrnak seems likely when facing a Chicago Blackhawks team he has had plenty of success against both in the past and already this season.

These two teams came up against each other only 12 days ago with a 3-1 win for the Bruins which resulted in Pastrnak bagging two goals on the night, honestly, we wouldn’t be surprised if he went one better and bagged his first hat trick of the season in tonight’s matchup.

The Pick

Pastrnak has scored 6 goals in his previous five meetings against the Blackhawks and at -105 to find the back of the net again tonight we are more than happy to get involved.

Pastrnak has scored in 4 of the Bruins’ first 5 games this season, having failed to score last time out in a victory over the Anaheim Ducks, we suspect Pastrnak will be eager to get back on the scoreboard against one of the worst defensive teams in the league. It’s a surprise the Bruins only scored three goals 12 days ago, they should score more than that tonight.

NHL Pick: David Pastrnak Anytime Goalscorer (-105) at Heritage Sports (visit our Heritage Sports Review)
