Tuesday’s 10-game NHL card takes us all over the States with plenty of games kicking off both Eastern time and Pacific time.

Having looked through all the NHL game markets today available at the top sportsbooks we have come up with three of our favorite picks ahead of tonight’s games.

Firstly we look at overs in the Carolina and Buffalo matchup, we expect plenty of goals in Anaheim tonight as the Ducks face the Penguins and finally, another California team is involved in our final pick which is a total game under selection.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Tuesday, November 07, 2023 – 07:00 PM ET at PNC Arena

Buffalo 4-1 To Over on Travels

The Buffalo Sabres have not been able to keep games low-scoring when playing on the road this season. Besides the first game of the season which ended on five goals, the rest of the games have seen 10/9/7/10 goals in each game.

Carolina is a perfect 3-0 on home ice this season and has seen just one of the three games go over 6.0 goals. That said the other two games which went under they faced off against the lowest and 4th lowest scorers in the NHL.

The Pick

Buffalo is more than capable of scoring, whilst the Hurricanes do have a solid defense the Sabres should get plenty of goalscoring opportunities and the Hurricanes should be able to get at Buffalo’s weak defense making this a game that could be potentially very high scoring.

Lay the juice on the 6 line for a push if the game ends with six goals. Amazingly 13 of the previous matchups between these teams seen at least six goals scored.

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Anaheim Ducks

Tuesday, November 07, 2023 – 10:00 PM ET at Honda Center

Expect Plenty of Goals

This was the first game of the day that drew our attention as we instantly believed this could possibly be a goal feast and of course, the sportsbooks thought the same setting the line at 6.5 for +105 NHL betting odds, which isn’t the worst set of odds, we would bet it down to -110 but a much better prospect for us is looking at both teams to score over 2.5 at +140.

Both these teams have been scoring for fun lately, with the Ducks coming into this game having won six in a row and scored 4+ goals in five of those six matchups.

The Penguins are coming into this off a 10-2 win over the San Jose Sharks with their previous two games before that ending on 7 goals respectively.

The Pick

The Ducks have seen both teams score 3+ goals in 4 of their previous 5 games whilst the Penguins may have only seen both teams score 3+ goals in 2 of their previous 7, it must be noted their previous seven games averaged 6.3 goals per game.

More importantly, this bet has cashed in the previous three meetings between these two teams, and right now the Penguins are the 8th highest scorers with 3.6 goals per game and Anaheim the 12th with 3.35 goals per game.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. San Jose Sharks

Tuesday, November 07, 2023 – 10:30 PM ET at SAP Center

Where Will The Goals Come From?

You might think it was a misprint when reading how many goals the San Jose Sharks have scored this season, averaging a lowly 1.09 goals per game, we knew they were going to be bad but we didn’t think they could be this poor.

San Jose is struggling to get goals, they scored less than 1 goal in 7 of their opening 11 games and were shut out twice. Although tonight’s opponents do allow plenty of goals and score just as much, they are more favourable towards the under with 7 of their opening 12 having gone under 6.5 goals.

The Sharks should remain weak in front of the net whilst Philadelphia have scored 2/2/1/0 goals in their previous four games.

The Pick

Although this is a matchup between two weak teams, we believe the under is the best approach, it’s not that these teams are weak and can score goals and have a poor defense but have poor defenses and both struggle to score, and most definitely San Jose.

The Sharks were beaten 10-2 in their previous game, that’s very embarrassing at this level so we suspect their main goal will be to keep the score as low as possible.
