We have some exciting matchups on tonight’s NHL card, with a lot of solid matchups that favor our betting approach. We are more than happy to get some stakes down on these three bets at our favorite offshore sportsbooks.

Expect goals in Edmonton as they look to continue their winning streak. Elsewhere, we are backing the league’s 5th joint-highest goalscorer to find the back of the net for the second game in a row and finally, we like Kyle Connor to continue his scoring streak against the San Jose Sharks.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Edmonton Oilers

Tuesday, December 12, 2023 – 10:00 PM ET at Rogers Place

Goals, Goals, and More Goals to Be Expected

Edmonton has finally seemed to find its grove. Following a very shaky start to the season, they have since gone on to win seven games in a row.

Scoring 4.5 goals on average during their winning streak one would expect Connor McDavid and company to put up some goals against this Chicago Blackhawks team, who has allowed the 5th most goals per game this season (3.45).

8 of the previous 10 meetings between these two teams have seen over 6.5 goals cash as a winner and we are more than happy to bet the over on this line tonight, given the fact it’s currently plus money at NHL betting odds of +105.

The Pick

The Oilers have scored 3.48 goals per game thus far this season and one would suspect if they kept this current peace up, they could be the top goalscorers in the not-too-distant future. The Oilers are also weak defensively, meaning the Blackhawks will have opportunities to get on the board.

We like the over in this game, it’s amazing that we are getting plus money but equally, the lowest we would bet this down to is in around the -110 mark.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Vancouver Canucks

Tuesday, December 12, 2023 – 10:00 PM ET at Rogers Arena

J.T Miller (Vancouver Canucks)

Vancouver is on a roll thus far this season. They are the top goalscorer per game (3.82) and face a Tampa Bay Lighting team who have struggled defensively without their number one goaltender, having allowed the 3rd most goals per game (3.52).

On home ice tonight we believe the Canucks could put up some goals on this Tampa Bay team and we are eyeing up their top points scorer and second-highest goalscorer, J.T Miller, to get on the scoreboard.

Having not gone any more than two games without a goal in the opening 21 games of the season, Miller did have a cold patch where he failed to score for five games but has since scored in two of his previous four matches.

The Pick

We love the value on Miller to get on the scoreboard in this matchup on home ice at +150, Miller has scored 10 of his 15 goals on home ice thus far this season and has scored in 3 of his previous 4 meetings against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Winnipeg Jets vs. San Jose Sharks

Tuesday, December 12, 2023 – 10:30 PM ET at SAP Center

Kyle Connor (Winnipeg Jets)

Kyle Connor comes into this road game for the Winnipeg Jets as the joint 4th highest goalscorer thus far this season with 15 goals scored in 26 appearances. Connor did go through a cold streak where he scored zero goals in six outings but has since picked things up again having scored 1/2/0 goals in his previous three games.

Given the fact Connor failed to score in his previous game, we know for this matchup he will be eyeing up the goals against the worst defense in the league, the San Jose Sharks, who allow 4.04 goals per game.

The Pick

Connor is only coming in at +110 to score anytime tonight, but it’s easy to see why when facing a defense as poor as San Jose’s.

The 27-year-old has scored 7 goals in 12 road games thus far this season and has scored at least one goal in 50% of his career games against the Sharks. Despite the Sharks picking up five wins from their previous ten games, they have still managed to allow 3.9 goals per game during those 10 matchups.

Connor should get plenty of opportunities to find the back of the net tonight.
